We have been seasonal campers here for several years. All of the sites, not just the seasonals, are large and wooded. The campground appeals to people of all ages. For families with children, there is a playground and a pool, a pond for fishing, as well as open spaces for children to play. It is also popular with both young...

We have been seasonal campers there for the past 6 years and there are many activities for the kids. They have basketball and baseball areas, swimming pool, game room and 2 playground areas. They have kids fishing derby's, weekly hayrides, trick or treating for the kids. The campsites are very clean and the place is kept spotless. The owners really...

Seasonal for 2 years. If you have children I would stay away. The owners will tell you to keep children quiet at 7pm on a Saturday evening in the middle of the summer. You will end up "walking on eggshells" trying to keep your kids quiet while outside in the middle of the woods; which is obviously nonsense. The owners...

We always felt your children were well behaved and we are confused that this would be your reason for leaving. We are a small campground 62 sites on 68 acres. Our sites are huge and there is plenty of room for the children to play as well as open common areas. Being located so close to Ricketts Glenn state park...

We camped here for 8 nights. Nice campground, need to call ahead for reservations as it can fill up with campers due to events in the surrounding area. This is within driving distance of 25 covered bridges, find a detailed mapping of such in visitor centers or camp office. Ricketts Glen State Park is near here also. Nice friendly helpful...

We enjoyed our stay at the campground. Only have 1 negative so I'll do the positives first. Very friendly and accommodating, clean spacious sites, beautiful pool. We had a campsite and had family renting the 3 bedroom house along with the Lakeview and Meadowview rentals. We were all pretty far apart so wasn't too conducive to cooking together but that's...

Enjoyed our camping week at Whispering Pines. Owners were friendly and every area was clean and set up very nicely. Picnic tables were the nicest I've ever used. They have areas for families to play, swimming pool, ping pong, volleyball, sandpit, playground, with all the balls and other toys for little ones. We enjoyed ping pong and walking the trail...

The place was well taken care of and quiet. Friendly people all around. The owners were especially nice and kind. We got to the place right after they closed but the owners came down once we got there and opened up the store so that we could pay to stay which was very nice of them. The game room on...

We joined our friends who were camping in their RV for a few days visiting Ricketts Glen and the Columbia County area. The majority of the campground is filled with semi-permanent seasonal RV owners and is very picturesque. The campground covers a large area and is very rural. The campground area is very clean and well maintained. The hosts are...

After a few calls to other campgrounds where I was unable to make a last-minute reservation on a holiday weekend, Theresa was so helpful in accommodating us with a spacious tent site! It was close enough to the restrooms, yet far enough that we felt 'away from it all'. I had forgotten my toiletry bag and was able to get...
