Hotel's Favourite
I have been at this hotel on more than one occasion, and enjoy the location (the valley view is quite beautiful) and the ease getting in, etc. The rooms have been very attractive and clean, and the staff helpful. It's my go to place traveling back and forth from NY.

I've stayed at this hotel on two occasions, and I have enjoyed my stay both times! The hotel is located near the Jim Thorpe area, which I went to for some sightseeing. The backyard deck area overlooking the valley is delightful; I love going out there with some always available lobby coffee. The Team is super friendly, and I really appreciated seeing the Front Desk tidying up the lobby and going the extra mile to ensure the guests have a great stay. Breakfast is still limited due to COVID, but there's a Starbucks super close by if you're looking for something a tad bit more satiating. I will return on my next mini getaway to PA!

Over the years, we have stayed at the Hampton Inn Hazleton when visiting this area of Pennsylvania. It went from being a top notch, lovely place to a “no deal” and avoid at all costs. Recently however, the property benefited from a remodel, and it showed in the attitude of the workers, the lobby area, as well as our standard room - clean, inviting, comfortable and peaceful.
The Manager was apologetic that because of hiring difficulties a hot, complementary breakfast would not be served, however we found the spread more than adequate for our needs. Parking is ample and complementary, and The Top Of The Eighties Restaurant is open and adjacent to the hotel for those who want to eat out and close by.
Our standard room was very clean. Even with a wedding party there one evening, it was astonishing how quiet the place was (away from the elevator). The bed was extremely comfortable and thermostat adjusted the room temperature nicely. All of the lighting and appliances worked well. The shower head was simple and the water temperature and pressure was good.
All said, I’d recommend staying at this property.

Amazing views...BUT....the bathroom in my room was absolutely disgusting. Long hairs everywhere on the floor and I even found one on a towel. You would think while in the middle of this COVID pandemic that the hotel would be more cognizant of the cleanliness of the guest rooms. I guess not.

From the start of our visit Scott welcomed us and was very pleasant. We had a fridge that didn't work so he offered to change rooms or hold our cold food for us till the next day. The next day a manager brought up a new one for us. Now that is service!
Breakfast was a delight all 4 days we were there. Maria and Alex made sure there was plenty and it was very good. I love that breakfast lasts till 10 during the week. Eventhough I was a few minutes late the first day .. Maria made sure she offered me plenty of eggs, bacon, potatoes, oatmeal, bagels, yogurt and fresh fruit, etc. She did not try to rush me at all. I was able to sit and enjoy the beautiful view of the mountains as I ate.
Since we were there for 4 days. I asked for more towels and a few other things and Eva was so nice to bring us a full supply. She was also very pleasant.
We ate at the restaurant on site for dinner one evening. The name was "Top of The 80's" and had a great meal. Jody was our sever and again very pleasant. It's more like a supper club atmosphere with a beautiful view. The the lobster stuffed mushrooms and the crab cakes.. mmm.
The location of the Hampton Inn was just perfect. The rooms were comfortable, very clean and safe. Our room was on the 3rd floor and the only complaint I might have is that the water pressure is not real strong. But I just had to rinse off a little longer.. no big deal.
Close to the expressways and surrounded by beautiful mountains. Very accessible to short drives for little adventures.
Thanks again everyone... you made our trip a very pleasant experience. We hope to come back again soon.

We stayed in a double queen room with a valley view...what an outstanding view. I slept with the curtains open so I could see the hillside and valley lit up at night. The beds were comfortable. The only thing I didn't like was that the barn door for the bathroom didn't close all the way and the door opened directly into a bed (not near the entry door like most rooms).Very convenient off the interstate. Due to COVID, the breakfast was limited and available for you to pick up and bring back to your room.

Website does not mention outdoor pool is closed and there is no Hot breakfast. When I mentioned this to manager her only reply was: "It says it on website" I have looked on three websites so far( including theirs) and they all list those amenities still available. Room was clean, bed comfy. Dinner at Top of 8's was great! Food was amazing along with the view. Everything from the warm bread, fresh salad, glass of wine and entree was on point! They need to up their game with the outdoor signage (looks like 1950's truck stop), menu (poor photocopy) and decor to match the chef's talents. Would have rated the hotel a perfect 5 if it wasn't for the lack of honest disclosure of the pool and breakfast ( that's why I booked there).

This was a perfect stopping point on our travels. The hotel was clean and convenient, with a beautiful view of the mountains. The dog walk area was large and easy to get to; it could have used some motion lights as it was very dark at night.
The staff was outstanding! We accidentally left something of value in the room at checkout. We were 2 hours away when we remembered and called them. The manager, housekeeping and front desk staff were all very understanding, professional and discreet.
I would stay here again.

The hotel has beautiful rooms that I assume were recently renovated. It sits up on top of a valley. There is a premium price for "valley view", however, the view isn't worth the price. Nice, but not worth the extra cost. Otherwise one of the better Hampton Inns I've stayed at.

The 2 nights I spent in Hampton Inn in Hazleton PA were horrific. The only thing worse than this experience was speaking to to the Front Desk Manager and the General Manager about the issues. The issues were a damp, mold & mildew room I was given with soaking wet carpet. Both nights the rooms beside me were drinking shouting and slamming doors. Numerous calls to the front desk with absolutely no resolution. When I spoke to the front desk Manager she said all the rooms in the hotel had hi humidity issues and the AC units were set to only run when the room was occupied, so nothing could be done until the weather changed. Regarding the noisy guests, partying until 2 am,( I get up at 5 am for work) she said she spoke to the other guests and Nightshift Manager, and doubted my complaints. When the woman who introduced herself as the General Manager of the Property and the Residence Inn Marriott Hazleton, she claimed none of their properties would make me happy. And proceeded to mock me when I stated I had never been treated so poorly by hotel staff in 30 years. I slept a total of 4 hours during the 2 nights and now have difficulty breathing and I fear I may have inhaled mold during my stay. I have now checked into another hotel operated by Marriott in another city as the General Manager stated her ownership group owned multiple hotels in Hazleton as well as other cities and states.
