After manning Years and countless hotels and resorts all Over the world this is the worst place we have ever stayed at.a Dump. I could not wait to leave. Chateau 5 needs to be torn down and start over. Do not stay here unless you wear a Hazmat suite. And front desk help where no help I don’t care attitude top off are stay as the worst ever.

Old and negleceted We complain for the bed and the cleaning and the lady yestarday said that they dont clean...i said what!!! Iit was my 3er night here and the "clean"... no good actitud. Look hay I found my bed and the curteins are broken and the Doors are unpainted... The only good rhing is the locación Very desapointent

Don't know what happened to the chateau. Been going for years and was always good till now. Room was upside down. Broken slider door, Broken coffee machine, stains on bed clothes and all around dirty room,( dusty). Services in restaurant were unbelievably bad. Waited 20 minutes for cold cup of coffee, 20 more minutes for breakfast: cold pancakes, frozen butter, hard cooked eggs that were supposed to be over easy, and toast so hard I would've probably lost a tooth had I tried to eat it. Some way to treat return customers that we were.

Great location, especially the views. Cheapest rates in the area. We used to stay here years ago and it seems nothing has been done to improve things since then, with the exception of the check-in area. Scary elevator, and old carpeting in the rooms and hallways. This place always had great potential but unfortunately has been slipping even more. But with a large investment I think this place could be spectacular.

Very pleasant, clean and quiet! Friendly people! Beautiful foliage! Beautiful and comfy room! This was a short getaway and an excellent choice! Beautiful lobby and restrooms! Did not try the restaurant but definitely will return! Excellent prices too!

Everything is broken in this hotel. Pool, hot tub and sauna. Paint and wallpaper are peeling. Air conditioner in bedroom bareley puts out any air. Beds are uncomfortable. Husband is home today from work b/c back hurts so badly. I don't think the hotel has been updated since the 70's

Loved the location & views from our room but the entire property seems very dated & worn. No restaurant or bar was available while we were there also. The carpets were worn , the TV's in the room very old / ours needed to be replaced because it did not work when we checked in.

Checked in on the 16th of Sept, and checked out the same day. Had a room with a mountain view.....you also get a view of the road and their swamp pond. Shotty sheetrock throughout the room. Stains on walls, and carpet including the elevator. They advertise a bar and grill, but yet there is no alcohol served anywhere in the hotel. Wallpaper was coming off the walls. DO NOT STAY HERE IF YOU VALUE CLEANLINESS.

So pros first...pools nice and as clean as they can be for their age. Great staff, friendly. Rooms a decent size. Balcony overlooks pond. Saw dear, beaver, and lots of birds. Place quiet during day. Beds confortable. This is an old hotel. It needs renovations. Carpet old, holes in walls need filling. Mowing needs upkeep. Pool needs painting. Outdoor area needs cleaning. Things not picked up.(cigarette butts, matches, bird poop)

The Chateau Resort in the Poconos is for those who: 1. Appreciate repeating the words "regretted it" 2. Enjoy the mildew stinch of hallways and elevators. 3. Enjoy having their nerves cringe upon touching the so called "white bed sheets". 4. Appreciate cobwebs, moths, spiders on the doorway to the pool. 5. Love to step in the bath tub with pubic hair 6. Enjoy sitting in the restaurant where the stain filled menus give fragrance and flavor of the food anticipated 7. Appreciate the fact that the menu repeats itself day after day and the prices multiply. 8. Enjoy overpaying for a mediocre continental breakfast 9. Appreciate balcony where birds have done their jobs. 10. Love to hear fireworks set off at 2am
