Although this place tends to be on the shabby side (a coat of paint and new carpet would do wonders) it was very comfortable. It is located in a very quiet area. We slept with the windows open and did not hear even a dog barking. The room size was adequate and the breakfasts were delicious. The owners are very...

Whenever we roam, we love coming "home" to Folke Stone, to Marcy and Walter, To breakfasts sublime and a bed that's divine! To book here, one need never falter! Since the mid-90s, we have stayed at Folke Stone each time we returned to the States and the West Chester area. Marcy and Walter welcome guests warmly to their beautiful home...

Another couple and us decided to make a four trip journey to West Chester. We knew nothing about the area. We contacted the Bed and Breakfast through the internet. Wow! what a good time. Marcy and Walt (the owners) gave us tips on where to go and they did a wonderful job. We visited Longwood Gardens, The DuPont Mansion, and...

Enjoyed our stay in comfortable room in this historical old (1732!) inn. Enjoyed excellent breakfast and stroll around the beautiful grounds. Very convenient to regional attractions including art museum and Longwood Gardens.

Surround your self in the 1700-1800's. The hand hued lumber still speaks to you with it's axe marking still very much visible. The proprietors share a sprinkling of its rich history with you. The breakfasts are sinfully good and made with love. Area attractions are plentiful. Dining uptown has a great selection of places.

I was in Chester County to research family history from the early 1700s. It was delightful to stay in such a beautiful house with lovely grounds dating to a similar time period - with all the modern amenities! Marcy and Walt made me feel so welcome and fed me fabulous breakfasts (with tips on how to make those blueberry pancakes)....

We stayed here for our anniversary. Unfortunately, we arrived later than we anticipated, but Marcy and Walt were very gracious. The room was immaculate and we had our own bathroom (bonus!!). The food was wonderful and the accommodations were beautifully decorated.

My wife and I enjoyed our stay. Marcy's every breakfast was delicious and Walt's morning fire in the dining room warmed us up. Our room was comfortable, the bed was delightfully firm and everything was clean. Magazines trumped the small TV in the room.

Marcie and Walt were so warm and helpful. The breakfasts delicious. I enjoyed sitting on the front porch admiring the countryside while drinking coffee. The dining room is in the oldest part of the house and is so comfortable. My room was cozy.

My wife and I just returned home, having spent the previous two nights at the Folke Stone in the Rose Room. We can testify that the mattress is firm and that we both slept very well. The best part of a stay like this is meeting people. It was a great pleasure to meet Walter and Marcy and to get...
