We stayed here for 3 nights earlier this month. The relatively new Owners were very friendly and helpful with regards to offering advice regarding the area and booking a sightseeing adventure for us. However, we were shocked to learn that the only drinking water available to campers is bore water. We didn't know this until we had made a cup... More

We have not been in the park for very long and during our peak season find it very difficult to do many things as soon as we would like. We do have bore water for the park and yes it does not taste the best in a cup of tea, however the water is safe to drink. Calcium is found... More

I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lovely park, Angie and Aaron (and Ange's mum and the rest of the staff) wer simply amazing and helpful. Saturday night drinks and nibbles (food supplied) was so much fun, I think everyone had a ball, the raffle with all proceeds to Royal Flying Doctors is a great idea!! The park is right... More

Location is a bit out of town, but only 5 mins from the main activities at Airlie, so location is good for caravans and campers. Be prepared for:- * the airport noise right next door (daytime only and does go quiet between 7pm & 7am), * the road is close by with traffic doing 100kmh up a hill (but also... More

Sorry you would not like to stay again at our park. We do appreciate your valued comments and as we have only been here 2 months, not 2 years. We will be working on improvements to the park during the quiet season and early next year. Perhaps you may wish to come back at sometime in the future to see... More

We stayed at Flametree for 10 days and loved the beautiful surroundings and great service from Aaron and Angie. Enjoyed Wednesday roasts with Norm and Saturday drinks. The park is a little out of town but we loved the feel of it and quiet surroundings. Would recommend this park highly.

We spent a week here at this park which has new owners. The staff and owners were very friendly. Yes, I agree with some other reviewers that the amenities block is outdated i.e. the basins look grubby and stained but they have probably been scrubbed within an inch of their lives, and just need renewing. The site we had was... More

Worth staying at for the friendly, welcoming staff. Their prices are alot more reasonable than other caravan parks and it was great that they are completely pet friendly. Not far from Airlie Beach, a comfy stay.

Thanks for the lovely review, we are able to keep our prices low as we do not have kids facilities that other parks charge for (jumping pillow and water parks etc). Pets of all shapes and sizes are always welcome. We are glad you enjoyed your stay with us and look forward to seeing you next time. Cheers :) More

New owners do a great job in a tired caravan park that's needs updating which they are in the process of. Positive - large sites, Negatives - next to the runway of the local semi-busy airport and amenities are tired. Very small playground and pool.

Angie and Aaron, thank you for having made this your castle (no pun but the movie was intended), we really enjoy sharing it! From the excitement? of having small planes or a chopper taking off from the mini airport next door, this just adds to what is being offered. As it happens within very acceptable hours and intervals it is... More
