We recently took a trip to Narragansett to celebrate our anniversary and stayed 5 nights at the Anchor Motel. We choose it based on the reviews on this website and we weren't disappointed. The location is perfect. You are right across the street from the beach. We had beautiful weather the whole time and since it was off season there...

We, a family of three, decided to stay at The Anchor based on reviews from this website as well as it's relative location to Newport. The motel was absolutely spotless and clean. The Anchor suited our needs well as we usually don't spend a lot of time in the hotels when we travel. Is The Anchor a 5 star posh...

My husband & I decided to spend a few days in beautiful Narragansett & stumbled upon the Anchor motel (well stumbled upon it online!) All the reviews we read were very positive.and ours is too. We did enjoy our stay very much. We had the King bed- room in the corner next to the office, so we didn't have a...

We love the Anchor and have returned 3 years in a row. The rooms are plain but outfitted with fridges, clean comfy beds, new AC units, and good TVs. Aside from free coffee and donuts in the morning, there are no other amenities except for your own little porch where you can take in ocean views, fresh air, and peace....

A friendly family run business. Rooms are simple & clean. All have tiny porches to sit and read or relax on. Parking is easy, the beach is across the street. No restaurants or shops in an easy walk, but plenty in a 5 minute drive. The only thing that needs improving here is the plainness of the rooms - they...

Great place to stay to walk to the beach. As others have written, the motel is run by a friendly family who keep it spotless. I appreciated having a fridge with a mini freezer. The beds were really comfortable. The tiny porch is nice to sit on any time of the day with a view of the ocean. This is...

The best thing about the motel is its location: directly across Ocean Road from the beach. When Ocean Rd isn't mobbed with traffic, you can step out the door, and hear and smell the ocean. But it's a motel, and a bit quaint. It's a little damp. The layout of the room, especially the bathroom, is quirky. It can be...

We stayed last summer for several days and are already booked again this year (this from a family that usually likes a new place to explore). You can walk to the beach, which meant we could go back to the room for lunch and get a break from the sun without leaving the beach for the day. I could walk...

I stayed here with my family some years ago. It's nothing fancy, but it's a nice, clean family-friendly place to stay. Conveniently located near the beach. I plan to stay again if they have a room for us!

My husband found out about this motel by accident while looking to book a room at another hotel. The great reviews about the 'Anchor Motel' from tripadvisor.com got his attention and he was able to book a room at their recently renovated Bed & Breakfast. He was lucky to have found vacancy at such short notice because someone had cancelled....
