Even before entering the Cuthbert House Inn you realize you are somewhere special, she is a grand Southern lady! It faces the lovely Beaufort river where the tides gently ebb & flow, Spanish moss follows the breezes. The rooms are beautifully appointed with period furnishings and everything you need right down to the corkscrew & wine glasses. The food is...

We had a delightful stay at the Cuthbert House Inn. The room was very comfortable with a wonderful bathroom with modern rain shower stall. We loved the historic feel of the home and the breakfast was tasty, filling and filled with friendly staff and guest. Definitely will return when in Beaufort, SC.

The accommodations were beautiful; the location was wonderfully accessible to restaurants, shops, beaches, tours; and the owners and staff could not have been more hospitable. Breakfast was delicious. The optional evening social hour was a delightful way to learn about the area as well as the travels of the other guests. I was at first concerned about the cost, but...

I got the Garden Room, which was the smallest back room, but it was spacious and lovely. It had a wonderful balcony that opened up to the garden, which was a perfect place for me to sit in the morning. Even better, it was only a two minute walk to the waterside for dinner. I only came in for one...

From the moment you set foot at the Cuthbert, you feel special. This mansion is full of lovely antiques and has an elegant feel. You will love relaxing on the front porch and admiring the view from there. Rooms are comfortable with thoughtful touches. We liked the breakfasts and the staff was outstanding. We stayed for one night at the Cuthbert House, in the Federal room. The location cannot be beat and the staff and owners were all very polite and inviting. The room we stayed in was on the top floor looking out over the bay. It had a refrigerator with bottled water, which was much appreciated after walking around Beaufort prior...

Stopped here on our way home from Florida, and we are so happy that we did! A perfect Antebellum home turned into a B & B, including the kind gentility of the staff, Wes and Wendy. Lovely breakfast in a bright and sunny room, wine and snacks in the late afternoon, comfortable, elegant rooms. We stayed in the Victoria room,...

My husband and I stayed at the Cuthbert House Inn last week to celebrate our 7 year anniversary. We absolutely loved this B&B and will definitely be back. The owners and staff are so friendly and kind. The house is just picture perfect in a fantastic location. Our room, The Mariner Suite, could not have been better. The bed was...

We loved the Cuthbert House. If you want a sleek, impersonal hotel experience, this isn't the place for you. But, if you'd like to stay in a place where history was made, walk on 200 year old floors, enjoy the original details and the personal hospitality of the owners and staff, Cuthbert House can't be beat. Our room was very...

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a week in July. The inn is beautiful, but it needs serious repairs. The tile in the bathroom was stained with a tennis show imprint and moved under our feet while standing near the toilet. It was also missing grout in places. While large bathrooms may be important to some, they are not...

Thank you so much for the honest, detailed and well thought out review. We have taken everything you've noted and put it into action. We are planning to do some needed repairs to the restroom you mentioned and have used your notes on housekeeping as a training opportunity for the entire staff. Here at the Cuthbert House Inn we certainly...
