We had a lovely stay in a king suite with jetted tub overlooking king street! The inn was charming and historic without being stuffy. Our room was huge and the separate sitting areas were luxurious. The bay window was lovely when they brought breakfast and newspapers every morning! The love seat and chair TV area was extremely helpful when my...

We spent three nights at the Fulton Lane Inn in October, and the entire experience exceeded our expectations. The ladies at the front desk were so warm and welcoming, we felt like friends. We loved the historic charm of the Inn. Although quite old, everything was maintained beautifully and very clean. It struck the perfect balance of modern amenities and...

Just returned from a weekend at Fulton Lane Inn. Let me start with the location is perfect, right on King St, short walk to all sights you want to see in Charleston. We parked our car and did not get back in it until we left town. The staff is helpful, ready to answer questions when you need them, quick...

The Fulton Lane Inn was the perfect spot for a business trip to Charleston. Located right in the action on King Street, all the restaurants and bars are walking distance. Well kept with quaint rooms and excellent service. Very reasonable rates for right in the heart of the action. The rooms needs a bit of care but it is a...

Booked from the brochure which is more than a little flattering. Room was comfortable but we booked a double room and got twin beds! Not ideal for a romantic weekend in this fabulous city!! Breakfast is included and served next door at the companion hotel but was fine. If you want something more substantial they operate a cafe next door....

Thank you for reviewing your experience at the Fulton Lane Inn. I am very sorry that your recent stay did not meet your expectations. I am glad to hear you enjoyed our complimentary amenities. I apologize for the confusion with your bedding requests. While we offer double bedded rooms, we do not have rooms furnished with twin beds. Please let...

I booked this hotel blind knowing nothing about it. The hotel is charming, well run, and perfectly located in the heart of old Charleston. The room was charming, large and well appointed. Breakfast and coffee was included in the price as was a wine and cheese reception in the early evening.

We stumbled upon this charming inn while trying to find last-minute lodging in Charleston in mid-October (not an easy task, I learned!). Anytime you go to a new city, it's hard to know where to stay, and the historic district in Charleston is pretty vast, making it even tougher. We completely lucked out!!! The inn is right on King Street,...

My sister and I stayed for 3 nights at the Fulton Lane Inn and it is a perfect location. As many people have said, the place is a little tired. The rug was stained in our room and the furniture is old but you are paying for location and you certainly get that. We did not have a car and...

I guess you are mostly paying for the location, which is great. But for the price I expected a little more quality. They didn't look at our reservation requests and see that it was our honeymoon until we were checking in. So they brought the champagne after we were already in the room, a little awkward for us and the...

Thank you for your review of the Fulton Lane Inn. We had your honeymoon noted in your reservation and delivered your complimentary champagne during turn-down service in hopes that you could enjoy this as a nightcap. I apologize that this created an awkward situation. Thank you for alerting us to the housekeeping issues you encountered during your stay. These items...

I have been staying here for years. The staff and management are the most accommodating you will encounter. For business meetings it is very convenient with a small conference room that I'm guessing seats around 20 to 30 folks. Everything is in walking distance of the motel for a quick lunch or dinner. When you arrive, you park your car...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
A romantic hideaway in America’s most enchanting city, The Fulton Lane Inn is private, intimate and exceptionally accommodating. The Fulton Lane Inn surrounds you with the comfort and gracious ambiance of a bygone era. Many of our spacious rooms feature oversized whirlpool baths and luxurious canopied beds, draped with hand strung netting. Other rooms boast cathedral ceilings and several offer fireplaces.Throughout, soaring windows frame captivating vistas of the city's historic skyline, punctuated with the many trademark church spires. The charm and spirit of the Old South live on in this historic inn, built by the family of Confederate blockade runner John Rugheimer. Regarded as the most sophisticated city in America, antebellum Charleston was the cradle of Southern gentility. The proper Charleston home then welcomed summer's casual pace by covering formal furnishings in airy muslin, replacing wool carpets with sisal, and positioning shutters to admit fresh breezes and to provide gentle shade. At the Fulton Lane Inn, that spirit has been beautifully recaptured. Here, light filters softly through louvered shades, casting an inviting glow on lush plants. The patina of fine woods, natural textures and soft pastels invite you to indulge in the simple pleasures of a more gracious time. During your stay, you'll be pampered with complimentary continental breakfast delivered to your room each morning. Our traditional Southern hospitality continues with sherry in the lobby each evening. Of course, our concierge is always at hand to attend to your every need. You're just a mere stroll from the famous harbor, historic homes and attractions. The Fulton Lane Inn is situated just off King Street, tucked away on a pedestrian lane in the heart of the city's famous historic district. The inn is literally surrounded by countless fascinating boutiques, scores of antique shops and elegant restaurants. There are countless ways to enjoy the Fulton Lane Inn. ... more   less
