My sister and I stayed for 3 nights at the Fulton Lane Inn and it is a perfect location. As many people have said, the place is a little tired. The rug was stained in our room and the furniture is old but you are paying for location and you certainly get that. We did not have a car and...

I guess you are mostly paying for the location, which is great. But for the price I expected a little more quality. They didn't look at our reservation requests and see that it was our honeymoon until we were checking in. So they brought the champagne after we were already in the room, a little awkward for us and the...

Thank you for your review of the Fulton Lane Inn. We had your honeymoon noted in your reservation and delivered your complimentary champagne during turn-down service in hopes that you could enjoy this as a nightcap. I apologize that this created an awkward situation. Thank you for alerting us to the housekeeping issues you encountered during your stay. These items...

I have been staying here for years. The staff and management are the most accommodating you will encounter. For business meetings it is very convenient with a small conference room that I'm guessing seats around 20 to 30 folks. Everything is in walking distance of the motel for a quick lunch or dinner. When you arrive, you park your car...

The Inn has a great location for exploring downtown Charleston. Located right on King Street we didn't have to use our car for anything for the trip. We were within walking distance of everything downtown had to offer. The rooms were average but luckily you won't be in the room much if you're downtown exploring. It was somewhat difficult to...

My wife and I just returned from Charleston, staying two nights at the Fulton Lane Inn. Before I share some thoughts for anyone planning on making the same mistake we did let me first say the staff is incredibly friendly and the place is very clean. So, upon arrival, enjoy the two gas lanterns at the entrance to the inn...

We were very pleased with the property and the great location. It was nice to come out of our Inn right to King Street, with many restaurants and shops accessible. There were only a few times that we needed to drive anywhere once we parked. The rooms and baths were very clean and did not show signs of age in...

First, the Fulton Lane Inn is located right off of King Street near Market and is in a great spot for exploring Historic Charleston. This is definitely the biggest advantage of this property. The entrance is in the side of the building down an alley since the street side is store fronts. There is no real lobby to speak of,...

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this quaint hotel in the heart of Charleston. It was close to everything we wanted to see and do, and the staff were very friendly. It's a well kept hotel, and the breakfast was a nice bonus! Would recommend staying here.

As a business traveller, I need to multitask. I will stay here every time I'm in Charleston because they deliver a complimentary simple breakfast to your door at your chosen time. I wish the first slot was 6:30, because I need to get my coffee on before I can act like a human, but the convenience factor more than made...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
A romantic hideaway in America’s most enchanting city, The Fulton Lane Inn is private, intimate and exceptionally accommodating. The Fulton Lane Inn surrounds you with the comfort and gracious ambiance of a bygone era. Many of our spacious rooms feature oversized whirlpool baths and luxurious canopied beds, draped with hand strung netting. Other rooms boast cathedral ceilings and several offer fireplaces.Throughout, soaring windows frame captivating vistas of the city's historic skyline, punctuated with the many trademark church spires. The charm and spirit of the Old South live on in this historic inn, built by the family of Confederate blockade runner John Rugheimer. Regarded as the most sophisticated city in America, antebellum Charleston was the cradle of Southern gentility. The proper Charleston home then welcomed summer's casual pace by covering formal furnishings in airy muslin, replacing wool carpets with sisal, and positioning shutters to admit fresh breezes and to provide gentle shade. At the Fulton Lane Inn, that spirit has been beautifully recaptured. Here, light filters softly through louvered shades, casting an inviting glow on lush plants. The patina of fine woods, natural textures and soft pastels invite you to indulge in the simple pleasures of a more gracious time. During your stay, you'll be pampered with complimentary continental breakfast delivered to your room each morning. Our traditional Southern hospitality continues with sherry in the lobby each evening. Of course, our concierge is always at hand to attend to your every need. You're just a mere stroll from the famous harbor, historic homes and attractions. The Fulton Lane Inn is situated just off King Street, tucked away on a pedestrian lane in the heart of the city's famous historic district. The inn is literally surrounded by countless fascinating boutiques, scores of antique shops and elegant restaurants. There are countless ways to enjoy the Fulton Lane Inn. ... more   less
