We loved our stay at the Governor's House Inn. We stayed in the Rutledge Suite with a private porch and king canopy bed. The large remodeled bath is very nice with stand alone shower and whirlpool tub (which we didn't use). Breakfast was always very nice, with options if you didn't care for their daily special. We meet some nice...

A fabulous historic guesthouse in a lovely part of Charleston, it was nice to stay in a period property which has been beautifully restored and provides luxury high quality accommodation. Enjoying a glass of chilled wine on the verandah in the evening was glorious. Highly recommended with friendly staff.

We spent a very pleasant three nights at The Governor's House Inn. It's a very lovely building, inside and out, and is beautifully furnished and decorated. Our room (Laurens) was lovely and the bed very comfortable; good towels, linen, etc. The staff was delightful and very helpful. We enjoyed our stay. All that said, since a review should be frank,...

Thank you for visiting Charleston and staying with us at the Governor's House. We appreciate your patronage and hope you will come back again soon. As you might imagine a 260 year old house with more than 10,000 square foot of room space - requires a good bit of maintenance. We are constantly upgrading and sprucing up the property. A...

We stayed here for my wife's birthday and the staff were great. We had a suite and the room was clean. The bed was comfortable. We were walking distance to public transit and a lot of attractions/restaurants. Staff had a lot of good recommendations, and directed us well. The breakfasts were ample, and the wine/cheese hour was nice. The guests...

Our stay at the inn was great. The home is packed with period antiques with staff that are knowledgeable on its' history. The breakfast was delicious , as well. The home is in a great location to shops, eateries, and the central market. We walked to all destinations.

Loved staying at the Governor's House Inn that Edward Rutledge, one of the signers of the Declaration of Independence, built in 1760. Really wonderful B & B and great location for walking almost anywhere in the Historic District. Free trolley's stop within one block if you don't care to walk. Really convenient!

Wow, well will be staying here anytime we come back to Charleston without a doubt! The place is charming to say the least, but the service is really what stands out. We arrived late(the day after our wedding), and Brian stayed up to let us in, was concerned if we were hungry and had eaten and showed us to our...

When going to Charleston my husband and I like to try different hotels and B & Bs. Our 34th anniversary took us to Charleston for a 4th time in 2 years. This time we book a room at The Governor's Inn, a beautiful historic inn on the perimeter of the historic district. My husband and I loved the afternoon tea...

Dearest Guest, I am delighted you were happy with most everything at our lovely property. Thankfully our young man who helped you is thoroughly trained now and I apologize for the spotty service on that morning. While most guests very much enjoy our breakfasts we appreciate any input about our amenities and I thank you for yours. We do have...

My best friend and I traveled to Charleston with our moms for a nice relaxing few days away from the real world. Being such the planner I am, I researched many months in advance trying to decide where I wanted us to stay. After much thought and a few friendly phone calls with Bryan at the Inn, I booked us...
