My husband and I stayed at the Governors Inn for 2 nights in March 2014 to celebrate my bday. Here are our experiences: 1. We had room 11 which is located under the main floor of the house so if you like to sleep in, I would not recommend this room. Early AM and late night, you can hear people...

Stayed there for 3 nights in March with my college age daughter. Had a fantastic time. Very friendly staff. Great breakfast on our private porch in the morning. Nice to come back to the hotel in the afternoon to "Afternoon Tea" (or wine/sherry). Very comfortable, big room and bathroom. Beautifully decorated.

We thoroughly enjoyed this beautiful , historic B&B in t he historic district. We found the staff to be awesome. The owners greeted us on arrival and were always there, providing anything we needed. We also enjoyed interacting with the other guests at breakfast and afternoon wine and cheese. Everything was in walking distance . Would definitely stay there again.

Beautiful B&B located right on broad street. We found it to be a great base for exploring the city. The cooked breakfasts were plentiful and the afternoon tea was a lovely touch with cake and drinks. While the staff we interacted with were all helpful, the B&B was missing the personal touch of having the owners onsite. I have stayed...

This is an elegant, beautifully furnished, original old building with many fascinating architectural features. The entrance hall has a lovely sweeping wood staircase, there are wood floors throughout, and there are lovely panelled rooms where you can relax and enjoy the complimentary afternoon tea with home made cake and cookies, wine and crackers. there is even a beautiful cat who...

The charm, elegance and style of this beautifully kept B&B are evident the minute you enter the gorgeous foyer . The staff was delightful, the food delicious. My room , the Linden , outstanding with its canopy bed, fireplace and porch ( entered through triple- hung windows and nestled in a live oak) was exceptional. Don't pass this up!

I wanted to stay in an older Charleston building and this B&B was wonderful. The house dates back to the 1700s and the history of its original owners is very interesting. The service was excellent. The location is great; in a beautiful neibourhood. Charleston is spread out, so some sights were a bit of a walk, but we loved this...

My first for staying in a Bed & Breakfast and visiting beautiful Charleston, SC. The house is absolutely beautiful from the wood floors to the spiral staircase to the furnishings. The room I stayed in was The Middleton Suite. The room was everything and better than the pictures on their website. The bed was very comfortable, pillows were wonderful (I...

From the moment we were warmly welcomed at the door to our departing goodbyes, this Inn met all our expectations....and then some! We arrived in adverse weather conditions but our hosts quickly made us feel welcome with some wonderful suggestions of what to do, sitting with us by the fire in the parlor and giving us a brief history of...
