Really clean and nice hotel. The only bad thing about the hotel is that you have to pay $22 a day for valet parking since there is no parking lot. There is construction next door on a new hotel, but we were not bothered by any noise. It is a little further from the city market than we thought, but...

We thought the people that worked there were very nice, and we liked the location. The room was spacious, and the decor was modern. But we thought our room and the hotel in general was very dirty. We spoke to the front desk about it, and they were concerned, and gave the message to housekeeping, but it didn't change the...

My husband and I stayed at this Holiday in a couple of weeks ago. We were mostly very pleased. Although there is ongoing construction, it was not a problem. We requested a room on the side where most of the construction was over. We were up by the time the light construction started. The location was excellent. We were very...

This is on the edge of the historic area (and barely, at that), with King St. a short walk away. The shops are further down King, but there are lots of restaurants nearby at least. And the free city shuttle has a stop across the street from the hotel. Breakfast is not included, and eating at the hotel restaurant isn't...

The location is the best thing going for this hotel. The room was small but serviceable. We stayed four nights. We returned to our room at 7:00 p.m. on the third day to find out it had not been serviced by housekeeping. After checking out we inquired about a shuttle to the airport. The front desk staff person was no...

Holiday Inn historic Downtown is the best combination of value, location, and service you'll find within walking distance of Charleston's downtown. It's on the northern edge of the "nice" area but that area is moving to encompass this hotel. It's a far more affordable option than other nearby options, And the service was excellent! Our only complaint was that room...

I stayed at the Holiday Inn Charleston Historic Downtown from April 5-9,2017. I was attending a conference in Charleston and we had a group rate at the hotel. Most of the other conference goers also stayed at this hotel. Three of us shared a room, which was under another conference goers name. On her first night in the hotel (April...

We came on the weekend of the Cooper Bridge River Run, so it was crazy, but still the front desk, the valle drivers were nice and helpful to our questions. The room was the average 2 queen beds, bath, and desk....nothing very special about it. The beds were soft and lots of pillows and blankets and the view was of...

If you like a firm bed, then you'll like and appreciate this hotel. I however don't so still have major kinks in my neck from sleeping. Also, there is a lot of construction all around the building which starts way early in the morning which is an obnoxious way to check in. Left my bags this morning at the front...
