We arrived in Beautiful Charleston for a wedding. Unfortunately from the moment we walked through the front door of the hotel we experienced disappointment. The hotel needs cleaned from top to bottom. Then they need to invest in painting and renovating. There was paint chipping off walls, plaster peeling, mold in the bathtub, dirty cups and wine glasses sitting in...

We had a wonderful 2 nights in Charleston but having thought we had booked at 2 Meeting Street we had actually booked the Meeting Street Inn. Unfortunately it was very tired and in need of updating. Also one morning at breakfast they had run out of several things which was disappointing. Staff were not very welcoming apart from one man...

We are so sorry you were quite disappointed in your stay with us. Next time we are sure you will confirm that you are at the hotel you intended prior to arrival. Our description, room rates & atmosphere are very different from 2 Meeting St. (as well as the address giving it away); kind of difficult to mix us up...

Staff is so nice and welcoming. Special breakfast and wine hour. Excellent location within walking distance of the Charleston market and historic district. Rooms are clean, private and comfortable with canopy beds and hardwood floors. Met a lot of nice folks. Will return.

My husband and I spent one night at this inn at the suggestion of family members also staying there. There was no bellman to help with our belongings, but a squeaky luggage cart was available. The room was dark and musty smelling, and housekeeping had just finished cleaning it! The carpets did not appear to be clean, and the bathroom...

Meeting Street was a wonderful place for a reunion I recently attended. It was within walking distance of historic areas, Ft Sumter, many local restaurants, and the huge marketplace. Darren and Akeem were welcoming, friendly, and more than happy to make recommendations or offer directions requested. A nice buffet breakfast was available every morning and the complimentary wine and cheeses from...

An older facility with old world charm. But the rooms are large, clean and have all you need. The staff is friendly and helpful, with a free breakfast every morning and snacks at 5-7PM (occasionally they serve a salmon salad- very good!). Convenient location and a reasonable price makes this a worthwhile place to stay in Charleston - I will...

I recently joined several friends here for a reunion and our warm welcome began as soon as we were greeted at the front door by Akeem! Darren checked us in, dealt with our rental car, and gave us great recommendations for our first dinner in Charleston. The inn is comfortable and homey, with happy hour offered each evening in the...

Our group of nine enjoyed many hours over afternoon wine and cheese on the patio, and morning breakfast and coffee in the front room. The Inn's location was perfect for walking to every destination in historic Charleston on our list. I found the Inn to be very clean and comfortable, no more 'tired' in appearance than I would expect for...

Very nice older hotel in the heart of Charleston. The rooms are nicely appointed, with newer bathrooms. I had a double bed in my room so I don't know if queens and kings are available. Breakfast in the morning included something hot (egg casserole or sausage and biscuits) and the usual cold cereal assortment. They had wine and cheese from...

We were booked to stay at this inn on the weekend of Hurricane Matthew. The inn very kindly allowed us to shorten our stay at the last minute without a penalty. The inn is in a perfect location for sightseeing in historic Charleston. You can walk everywhere. It is located across the street from the city market, and is very...
