We just needed a place to sleep, close to the hospital. I was pleasantly surprised. It's an older property but they have done a great job in keeping it up and keeping it modern. Our room was very comfortable and clean. There is a decent continental breakfast, with waffles, sausage biscuits, cereal, fruit, and muffins. all ya really need. The front desk attendant was super helpful and friendly. Hope we don't need to visit the hospital, again, but if we do we wouldn't hesitate to stay here, again.

Hotel's Favourite
We chose this hotel over two others because it had free parking and free breakfast. The staff was great. Parking was well lit and convenient. BUT, breakfast isn't what you think it is. A couple small muffins and some tiny Jimmy Dean sausage biscuits for the microwave isn't breakfast. We were not happy about that, but the sweet desk clerk offered to lower our rate and gave us a couple cold water bottles to take on our daily trip around Columbia. Overall, we would stay there again -- now that we know the real deal on what's included.

It was ok. Hotel was clean but kind of worn out. Hallway carpets could use replacing. Appears the shower door broke at some point so they just hung a curtain instead. Breakfast was frozen biscuits and a microwave. I was kind of annoyed they charged a deposit since I'm a choice rewards member and booked the room on points, but they did refund it in about 2 days. The lady who checked us in was friendly though. Just doing her job. I feel asleep before the neighbors got home, but my wife mentioned they were loud talkers like they just got home from a concert.

As other reviews mentioned, the location is eerily deserted. The noise is a bother to try and sleep. Not mentioned is the breakfast. Lack of breakfast? It was priced lower than most hotels and the quality reflects that. The rooms are dated. Clean enough and dated with wear and tear.

Quick stop on our way home. Clean, good bed, TV and internet were good. Quiet. Not a lot of restaurants close but we found Cracker Barrel. These inns have small rooms but for a one night quick stop they are AOK. They had pretty good COVID protocols and therefore not much of a breakfast.

Staff was very friendly and welcoming. We were disappointed with some details that were left untouched for example: the thin bed coverlet was dirty. What appeared to be a stain, was, after closer examination, actual dirt that could be scraped away! On sink countertop, next to the soap dish, I found a small "glob" that could have been a piece of gum; it was removed with a rag. This should easily have been seen by the housekeeping staff. Carpet was stained. Interior design - the toilet was separated from the sink by a door - forcing one to touch a door before washing one's hands. This is an unsanitary setup. Covid-related - housekeeper was not wearing a mask; other staff were at least behind plexiglass. Despite multiple signs requiring masks to be worn, several guests - including some riding the elevator with me - refused to wear masks. Enforcement is needed. Breakfast - not offered. I understand that a buffet breakfast can't be offered, but a prepackaged breakfast could have been offered. If you're not going to offer it during this time - adjust your advertising. Temperature - was hot during the evening, got up to lower temperature twice, so uncertain about quality of cooling. It did have a constant fan option which is very important to me.

I chose this location for 3 reasons: 1. It was close to the Interstate (easy on and off) 2. Previous good experience with Sleep Inn 3. I generally use Choice Hotels The access was, as expected, easy. Check-in was efficient and the lobby felt safe (with respect to COVID-19). The desk clerk wore a mask, worked behind a protective shield, and quickly and thoroughly oriented me to hotel procedures. The room could use some updating (as could the entire facility) but was acceptable and clean. However, while the price aligned with rates at other Sleep Inns where I had stayed, the physical plant was lacking compared to the others in my experience. The neighborhood was shabby, featuring a number of vacant retail units, an uninviting Wal-Mart and 2 or 3 fast food places. I felt fairly uncomfortable, but due to the pandemic i eat only take out in my hotel room when traveling so the situation amounted to a minor inconvenience. However, if the customer was a walker or jogger, for example, (s)he would probably want to drive elsewhere for the outing. If I end up staying overnight in Columbia again, I will probably opt for somewhere farther from the highway, in a less depressing area.

It was clean but lots of small maintenance issues and they add up in total. Bathroom in particular. OK if you're looking for a bargain price and expect a bargain priced hotel for it because that's what you are getting here. I will say that the front desk guy was super, nice and very responsive. Aims to pelase. Just don't expect too much from the property itself.

Nice hotel with easy access from the interstate. Shopping and restaurants nearby. Comfy bed and clean. Price was higher than usual due to a ballgame that weekend. Breakfast was well stocked with hot food options. I was also given a bottle of water and a snack upon check in which was a nice touch.

We stayed here for one night on our way to a wedding in SC. We got stuck in traffic at Charlotte and called them to explain we would be late. They were very friendly and held the room for us. The room was spotless, nicely decorated and contained a microwave and a small fridge. They also provided a hot breakfast. The price was very reasonable. I would highly recommend this motel.
