This is a slightly different kind of review. My family and I evacuated from south Florida because of Hurricane Irma. We were traveling with two small children (1 and 3) and a large yellow Lab. We stotted in Columbia on our way to Ohio. It...More

The room was not actually overcharged. After changing a form of payment it can take 3-5 business days for the original authorization hold to be released by the bank. The same applies for incidental authorizations. It is unlawful for a hotel to charge anything additional other than the price agreed upon at the time of booking unless the guest does not qualify and has booked a discounted rate. The only other charges that a hotel will impose are purchases made directly at the hotel or if there is any damage in the room. In this particular case none of this applied.
