We were in town for a concert & only spent one night, but wished we could have stayed the weekend!!! The entire inn is immaculate!!! It is decorated with artwork for sale by local artists. Shana, the innkeeper, was very sweet & made us feel very welcome. There were plenty of snacks, food, & drinks. We will definitely stay here... More

The 1425 Inn is just a few blocks from downtown Columbia. The innkeeper is sweet and helpful. I felt like I was in an aunt's home and not an inn. Continental breakfast during the week, plenty to choose from. Homemade hot breakfast on the weekend. Room was clean with beautiful artwork. They host artists work from around the area. It... More

We stayed a couple of nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The Inn is beautifully decorated with local artwork. Shanna is extremely helpful and will bend over backwards trying to accommodate. She obviously loves the Columbia area. If we ever stay in Columbia again, I hope there is a vacancy at the 1425!

I was in town on business and wanted a different lodging experience and got a great one in Columbia. This B&B has everything that I like: It's clean. Wonderful staff. Parking. A bathroom en suite. I stayed in the Gervais room, which had hardwood floors, a nice bed (with a firm mattress) and was on the first floor. The bathroom... More

An overnight stay in Columbia was made even better by staying at The 1425 Inn. Shanna is an excellent hostess. A number of good places to eat were within a reasonable walk (0.3 - 1.0 mile). The downtown area (a few blocks away) is alive and well with a variety of arts and entertainment easily at hand. Of note: The... More

We recently stayed to celebrate an anniversary. Shanna is so personable, and the Inn is wonderful. Clean, comfortable, and very close to lots of Columbia destinations. Delicious breakfast. You can take the city's free taxi service which takes you to the Vista, as well as any location on Main Street. Whether for a special occasion or if visiting South Carolina's... More

Finding a treasure when you are travelling for business is rare. This place is magical. I would come back to Columbia just to visit the 1425 Inn. The proprietor, Shanna greeted and welcomed me as if into her own home. I slept soundly through the night and woke to a gorgeous sunrise and delightful breakfast. Sara is the curator and... More

We recently stayed with the inn, and let me say you will not be disappointed.Shauna and her staff are amazing. They make you feel as you have arrived at your family home.. we have always stayed at a upscale chain hotel. As long as there is room at the inn that will never happen again.

The 1425 Inn has large rooms with comfortable beds, lovely art on the walls, and a cozy atmosphere. Talk to Sarah the art curator to have splendid conversation about the local artists. The included breakfast was delicious, as were the chocolate chip cookies. Hang out downstairs in the living room to meet other travelers. It's like staying with an old... More
