This was our first time to stop over in Columbia. The city is very clean and easy to get around in. We were disappointed in the breakfast we were served. The internet stated a scrumptious breakfast so our expectations were pretty high. Instead we were served some fruit with yogurt on top and then scrambled eggs with bacon, no toast...

Stayed in Chestnut Cottage for one night while parents were in town to watch kids. Building was very nice. Location was good - we walked downtown with no issues. Hosts were extremely hospitable. Breakfast was very good. We stayed in Jefferson Davis room - it was well appointed, only issue was the room was right on Street and though not...

I booked one night for my mom & I at the Chesnut (I do believe it is Chesnut, not Chestnut?) Cottage Bed & Breakfast as we were passing through to see Amos Lee (awesome) at the Township Auditorium. Aside from driving through Columbia dozens of times in the past, this was our first time actually IN the city. Not knowing...

The location is central to exploring the city and there was a lot to enjoy during our walks. It is a safe place to walk, and there are patrol cars watching and moving about constantly. Columbia is a clean city, and worthy of a visit if you are passing through. The Inn is loaded with historic items, about which Gale...

What a nice weekend we had while we stayed at The Chestnut Cottage for Valentine's Day weekend. VERY friendly host and hostess who greeted us warmly in the parking lot. Our room was the Jefferson Davis room and it was charming and historic. Bed was extremely comfortable, nice big bathtub, nicely decorated and had good heat despite the record low...

This is outstanding little historic bed and breakfast in the heart of Columbia. The owners are very friendly. I took of 1 star for two items. First the booking process was a bit difficult to get done correctly. There web site was not up on date on availability and it took a while for them to return calls. Two, this...

My son is a student at USC and this is a perfect location for access that all the city has to offer. My room was on the first floor and was absolutely perfect. The bed was huge and extremely comfortable. They provide all the amenities needed, including lots of magazines and reading materials. Breakfast was stellar! There's parking on site--behind...

My wife and I (and our two golden retrievers) found our first floor room in this two story house provided a very large comfortable bed, period furniture and a display cabinet showcasing Civil War era items. The second room offered a trundle bed which would sleep two children and a Jacuzzi. The third room was a full bathroom including a...

Excellent location near downtown, USC, the football stadium, state house, and four historic houses. Spacious parking. Our room was large, as were the other two that we could view. Room decor themed around the Civil War, however came across as a little eclectic. Nothing wrong with that. The room was squeaky clean as the owner apparently does the cleaning. Nothing...

We stayed at the B&B while in town for a show at Township Auditorium. The Auditorium is a 5 minute walk from the inn. Gale and Sherwood Garrett, the owners and innkeepers, made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived until our post-breakfast departure. They went above and beyond the call of duty during our 1 night stay in...
