I’m a Hilton guy, and this was my first stay at a Tru. I chose this property because it was conveniently located off I-26 and reasonably priced. I see Tru as the younger generation’s introduction to Hilton. It’s minimalist, semi-industrial decor was very appealing to my 27 year old daughter, as was the Lemon Sugar body wash in the glass shower. When it comes to Tru, think about a Hampton Inn designed for those folks in their 20s and 30s, and priced accordingly. Having said all that, this 64 year old will definitely stay at a Tru again sometime in the future. This property was very clean, the beds were very comfortable, and the staff was courteous and helpful. The main reason I gave this Tru a 4 out of 5 rating was because I could hear a bit of noise from the room next to ours and above ours. Nevertheless, our stay was well worth what we paid.…
Excellent property and very clean rooms. Easy access in and out of the hotel. Lots of options for food, etc. Really layout for complimentary breakfast. Staff was very friendly and helpful with questions. Great stay and will definitely go back or use another tru property in a new location.
Disappointing visit! We have 4 children and need close, preferably adjoining rooms. Called the night before to verify and were assured rooms would be attached. Arrived to have rooms on separate floors!!! How does that work with small children?!? Ruined our trip. Poor service, no help to resolve the situation! Comfy bed, clean room. Wish I could have enjoyed it as I had planned. Poor service ruined our experience.
We stayed here for one night. Upon arrival, the TV was cracked and had a line running through it. The outlet on the wall where the alarm clock is was busted and half missing. The TV remote was also missing the back. I immediately called the desk to let them know so that I was not charged. I did not get offered another room. I was told maintenance would not be there until the following day and they were in the process of replacing TVs throughout the hotel. This hotel is located across from a mall and in a safe area. This kind of damage was not expected. In my opinion, this room should have never been given to any customer, especially a Hilton's Honor Member. I choose hotels form the Hilton app because of the reputation and expectations, but this room was not up to par. The staff, however, was fantastic. Everyone was super friendly and went out of their way to acknowledge you when you came into the hotel. Breakfast here was just okay with the minimal items. Other Tru hotels that I have been at recently offered more hot items.…
Will not use again. Reeked of Marijuana, shady activity in the parking lot. I have used Tru and Home2 by Hilton before and loved it but I will never use this location again. Very disappointed. Do NOT stay here.
Smaller, more economical Hilton lodging. Good for overnight stay on long road trip. Staff was friendly and helpful. Bed, linens and pillows comfortable. Great blackout shades. Oddly, no decaf coffee available the morning I checked out (but I did see it served at another Tru location, so I don't know if it was a "one off" or not).
Where do i start? At first glance I was excited about all the vibrant colors and awesome lighting, I told my wife you will really like this place. Seemed really nice at first entry in our room then I noticed a moldy nutragrain bar shoved up in the AC unit and hair all over the floor, which should be easy to remove considering it’s hardwood floors all thru out. It was really sad that we had to wait till almost our last day there to get a room cleaning and they didn’t even do it. Sign on the room said room would be cleaned on the 5th day. Got back to the room really hoping for a fresh last night here. Nope trash running over and cups everywhere and our sheets and towels balled up on the floor because we expected to get new linen. The girl at the front desk was very sweet but told me sorry about what happened but it got missed and all the housekeeping was gone and she didn’t know where the bed sheets or blankets were. I went back down to see if I could at least get some towels and she knew where they were lol. Most of the stay was filled with kids working the place walking around with earbuds in all day living in there own little world.…
I have tried to get an invoice from Tru several times was disconnected three times, talked to Priceline the only let the computer talk to me and then hung up and said after I got more information then call back, I never got to talk to a live person, Hilton could not get the invoice for me and said sorry but it was a third party that made my reservation and as of today I still have not got an invoice of my stay. No one can help me or want to help me. I will never stay at Hilton again.
Avoid at all costs. Refused to correct noisy A/C with the "excuse" fully booked (although we checked in at 5 pm, before all rooms checked in). After a 7+ hour trip on the road. Even corporate Hilton wouldn't step in to assist. Very frustrated with this entire experience.
We booked directly through Hiltons website, showed up at 11pm and was told they had no room for us. They had my cell phone number. Never called. They had my email address. Never emailed. To make it worse they pre-authorized the charge and held it for 10 days before reversing it. Of course, I had to track them down to figure that part out. We had to drive another 50 miles to find a room. Thanks Hilton!
