When I arrived, Chenetta at check- in was warm and friendly! This was exactly what I needed after a long day traveling into Columbia!! The room was very clean, quiet and the bed was comfortable too.
Although when we arrived, the room that was provided to us was not cleaned and dirty from previous guests, Chenetta and Stephane were very quick to resolve the problem. They were so kind and made up for the mistake with excellent customer service. They demonstrated what excellent customer service should be in the hospitality industry, and they should be recognized!
We arrived in Columbia late on Friday evening and were greeted by Chenetta at the front desk. Our seven year old was a bit cranky and Chenetta was very understanding and got our daughter to smile and laugh. Rooms were cleaned, beds are comfortable, and the staff made us feel welcome. Chenetta is a rockstar and we will be back on our next trip to Columbia.
Very disappointing for a Hilton brand hotel. I’ll first say that I understand that the website now shows $13 per night parking but I believe that’s due to my complaint about being charged for parking when I checked in advance on both the web and the app and there was no rate listed for parking. I was then charged $13 per night for parking without ever even being asked if I had parked a car there. I submitted an inquiry through Hilton but received no response and then, coincidentally I’m sure, the parking rates were updated online. When we arrived I checked in through the app to get a mobile key but when we went up to the room the door was propped open. So we still had to wait at the front desk to switch rooms because obviously I wasn’t going in that one. Then despite signs saying that housekeeping only cleans the room if you stay several nights, they came in and cleaned the room after one night which is nice I guess on one hand, but quite frankly I didn’t want anyone in my room and didn’t believe they would enter based on the signs. I agree with the reviewer who stayed in August and said she’ll give Marriott a try. I stayed at a Marriott recently that was very nice and, even though I thought some of the fees were high, they were quite transparent about them and not sneaky like this hotel was with the parking. …
Heather in the dining area was great! Great personality and hard worker! Also the front desk was awesome and greeted me with water and thanked me for being a diamond member. Everything was cleaned and smelled good!
The rooms were very nice and clean, not smoky or dusty smelling. The staff were friendly and the Customer Service Reps at the check-in desk were very helpful, especially Romonia - I loved her, she was very knowledgeable and friendly!
Our recent stay at the Hilton Garden Inn in Downtown Columbia SC was wonderful. We arrived a little early for our check-in time, but Romona took care of us! From the moment we walked in, we were pleased. The lobby was neat and clean, we were provided cold water bottles upon our arrival and Romona was very friendly and professional….as was the rest of the staff we encountered during our stay. Our room was clean and the bed comfortable after a long day of travel. We will definitely consider this hotel for our future stays!

I travelled solo to Columbia for a Gamecocks football game. Finding my way around Columbia can be challenging, but Romonin at the daytime front desk could not have been any nicer. She gave me some suggestions on how to find what I was looking for. In addition, I ate breakfast in the hotel restaurant, and the waitron was busy when I arrived. No big deal at all - I had a book with me. When I asked for my check later, they told me that Raymond, the assistant general manager, had comped my meal because I had to wait too long! It was a challenging weekend for me on several levels, but the very kind folks at Hilton Garden Inn really made a difference.
We had seven rooms at this hotel which was recently acquired by a different company. Because of this, we were faced with some shortages, There was no bar soap available in some rooms and the hot water had to be repaired on the first day but was available in the evening and onward. The head of Housekeeping got us all of the missing items and made herself available as necessary to cure any problems.
