We were in town for our son’s basic training graduation. This hotel is pretty central to everything you need. Check in and check out was fast and easy. There’s a complimentary breakfast that includes eggs, omelets, cereal, waffles, toast, and etc. Coffee is 24/7. I used to work for a Hilton Brand hotel years ago and we valued our customers. They did a great job. The rooms were big and they did their job to upgrading us to the top floor noticing that I am a AMX card holder. So kudos to that. If we are ever in town again I would consider staying.
Wonderful place to stay for a day or a week or more. Beds were comfortable, room was large and clean, and the kitchenette setup was perfect with everything you needed to cook a meal and eat it there. Breakfast was amazing, especially during COVID, and staff was as accommodating and sweet as could be. Easy off and on the expressway. Our first stay at this brand and it won't be our last! Only flaw was that the pillows were too soft!
Found this place at the last minute. Attended a football game and was extremely pleased with this property. Staff was friendly and attentive. Extremely clean location. Room was very well laid out and comfortable. Quiet too. Breakfast was ok. I'd stay there again in a heartbeat.
The room was nice and well appointed with what you would expect from a suite. The big, new fridge was especially nice. However, the breakfast experience was not very good. The sandwiches were very hard as if they had been left out for a couple of days. The only option for waffles was an awful whole wheat buckeye something or another...terrible. The milk for the cereal was so watered down that it hardly even tasted like milk at all with no other milk options. There were a bunch of kids in the breakfast area that belonged to the lady working the breakfast area and she seemed more distracted taking care of them than keeping the breakfast items supplied. And the kids were loud and a bit annoying (and yes, I have kids of my own). The coffee was empty most of the time.
My husband and I stayed here last weekend for a football game at the University of South Carolina. The location is great and the hotel is pretty new. However, our room had no soap, missing conditioner in the shower, and trash bags left on the side of each trash can. I guess we were supposed to do that ourselves. When my husband asked the front desk for some soap, he was given some major attitude from the staff member. Very unnecessary. Also, breakfast was just awful. There was no fruit, they were out of bread, and they actually heated up frozen egg sandwiches in the plastic wrappers! We also overheard another guest complaining of moldy cheese in the breakfast cooler. I have never seen anything like this, especially at a Hilton. He is Gold member and is used to much better. We will not be back.…
The front desk lady (blonde) was very nice and cheerful. I am sorry I did not get her name. I would love for her to check me in again. I wish all front desk staff was as nice and cheerful as she was. I would like to visit when she is on duty.
Hotel was exceptionally clean! I love the super huge TVs in the rooms. The lobby was also well kept and decorated beautifully! Breakfast was great and the full size fridge and microwave in the room was amazing. Only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is the because the bathroom is quite small. The outside amenities from seating areas, pool, and grills was such a nice touch! Also, there’s a Dunkin just steps from the property….this def made me happy! Will def stay again when visiting Columbia!
Hotel is located near Fort Jackson and seemed fairly new. Staff was friendly and welcoming upon check in but that is all the positive feedback I can give. Our suite did not look, smell or feel clean. There was even a slight odor. Using our bathroom right away when we walked in, the drain stop in the sink was stuck closed. A gentleman came up and worked on it so at least the water would drain. He said he would return with another part, never returned. We stayed for two nights and the drain stop sat on the counter top during our stay. The water pressure was very low both in the sink and shower. That evening we pulled out the sleeper sofa to find a pile of soiled dirty sheets in the middle of the bed. GROSS! We closed that up in a hurry! Front of the stainless steel dishwasher has never been cleaned! Dirt and spots covering the whole thing. Would never think of using any kitchen items from that room. I would not recommend this property when in the area, we were very sad and disappointed, especially due to the price we paid. Try the Hampton Inn across the street.…
The lady who greeted us about 10:30 pm was very professional, courteous and accomodating. Room was very clean. Pool area was tidy. My only dissatisfaction was the absence of any meat at the complimentary breakfast.
We were greeted with smiles and friendly faces when we checked in. Rooms are huge and pristine clean. Breakfast was fabulous with lots of options and the staff was amazing. Hotel is very accommodating to those with disabilities. Highly recommend!
