Beautiful place to stay and convenient to downtown. Nice rooms and service. Good job on everything they can control. If you are not an extremely deep sleeper, DO NOT STAY HERE. The TRAIN is loud and blows its whistle many times a night. If you are a normal sleeper, you will wake up several times a night. You will be...

Great staff; Jordan did a great job suggesting the places to see along with instructions for getting around comfortable room, chic, location in the middle of everything. The breakfast was shabby however the social was excellent. We will be back when we can stay longer.

Booked room at hotel through hotels.com as we we in town for a funeral. Loved the feeling walking into the hotel. Lobby was gorgeous, front desk agent was kind enough to extend to us a glass of wine after happy hour was over; we had been on the road for 12 hours so the wine was much needed. Complimentary Breakfast...

I thought the charm would make up for lack of amenities but I don't consider run down, charm. If it was under $100 a night it would have been fine but at almost double that it was unacceptable. We were moved from a decent room (after an overnight flight and had just unpacked for the week) to a sub par...

Booked another hotel in Columbia to attend my sister's funeral. Short story, checked out the next day and made reservations at the Inn at Claussens. The room was excellent, the staff was awesome, and the location endearing. Even the train in the morning was a comforting experience, not too loud and actually lulled me back to sleep for a few...

We just spent two nights at this boutique hotel. The room was beautifully furnished with a high 4 poster bed and a comfy chaise lounge. We selected our breakfast items the night before and had a choice of eating in our room or in the lobby. It arrived right on time. Coffee is available as early as 5 am in...

Kept reading great reviews on this hotel. Came in late on a Friday night flight, my sister had requested a large enough room for myself, and herself and husband. Went to the room to discover a queen size bed next to the exit in the back of the building which did not lock-NOT. Returned to the front desk, switched us...

Dear kwpunkin1, Thank you for your feedback. The room you requested was a Lofted Queen with sleeper sofa, which accommodates the three persons occupying the room. We offer six food options for breakfast per person (3 hot and 3 cold) along with coffee/tea and juice/milk. We are sorry to hear you did not find the breakfast to your liking. Being...

Charming hotel and the convenience to downtown. Enjoy Southern food, southern hospitality from nice people, enjoy the tour of the Capitol building, tour the campus of USC, enjoy the history and stay as long as you can. The rooms and the lounge of this historical hotel will be a wonderful memory. Take many photos and post them.

We stayed there when my son visited USC. We were hoping for a unique, memorable experience. The place looks cool from the outside, and we liked the idea of an old converted bakery. The Inn finishes were the cheapest possible. The room was dark and gloomy. The desk clerks were very nice and gave us great restaurant tips . ....
