Room is dirty, it looks like there had been a party in The room. Evidence of broken balloons and Christmas decorative glitter and gold trees. It only was the carpet a mess, but I wouldn’t think of using the bath tub! The bottom was gross, not just stained, but something stuck on the bottom. The stopper in the bathroom sink wasn’t working. Three sinks in the suite and one bar of soap. So my friend got here later than I did. Their credit card was also run, even though I could see my credit card had been charged the full amount. We went downstairs to the bar to have a drink about 8:45, and the bartenders was finishing cleaning up and said her manager told her to close up, even though their hours are until 10. There was no one available to take a food order either. So far below the quality of other Embassy Suites I’ve stayed in. The whole hotel is dirty and in need of serious updates. Twice I went to the guest services desk and no one was there.

We stayed over the weekend for the Capital City Shag Extravaganza. From the moment we checked in until the moment we checked out, the Embassy Suites took excellent care of us. Check in was friendly, quick, and easy. Later that night I had trouble connecting to the Wifi so I went down to the front desk. The woman at the front desk was sooo helpful and sweet even though it was 11:30 at night. She got me connected right away. No fuss. No hassle. Just helped. I really appreciated that. Our room was awesome, too. So clean and spacious. We had a King suite and it had a separate living area and a bedroom. The breakfast area was spacious enough that you did not feel crowded and the food was excellent. A great variety was available. We really enjoyed it every morning. However, the real superstars of my stay were the staff. Miss Betty served us during the manager's reception both nights and she was so friendly!! We made sure not to miss the reception just to see her (and get our free drinks). Jeff was our bartender in the event and he was next-level fun! He would come out to dance with us and was just an all-around great guy. Last, but not least, was Chanelle. She was serving lunch and noticed that I could not eat the food because I am a vegetarian and there was nothing for me. She asked me to wait a moment and then disappeared into the back and came out with a gorgeous veggie wrap for me. I wanted to cry with appreciation. It would have been easy for her to just ignore the fact that I would have nothing for lunch. But she took it upon herself to make it right. She showed true leadership and I was (am) enormously grateful. My stay at the Embassy Suites was just terrific. I cannot wait to return again next year.

Hotel was a typical embassy suites Room was clean and comfortable Restaurant existed but you needed to figure out where it was The charge $ 10 a day for parking which is tacky at best and not appreciated unless they have security people in the lot which i didnt see

Molded shower curtains, holes in wall, refrigerator knobs broken off, wall paper peeling, looks like from water damage, and they charge $50 a night for damage, but tell you only when you check in, and I have pictures, and the heat don’t work in some rooms, and stains on carpet

Vehicle was broken into within 30 mins of arrival in broad daylight. Told Front Desk Staff and they were less than interested to me do something about. Per Staff "no security camera for the hotel". Really?!?! Wow, unbelievable for that big of a hotel NOT to have security cameras?????!!!!

I remember the Embassy Suites from 20 years ago with fondess. I spent many nights at multiple locations and very much looked forward to taking my kids here. Unfortunately, we were literally met with the Embassy Suites from 20 years ago. Old, out-dated, dusty, dirty, stained. You name it, we found it. Our room smelled like cat pee, there were food stains all over the walls and curtains, dust in every corner and along the walls, toothpaste on the vanity, broken and disgusting furniture, and an overall stickiness to the room. My child lives in Columbia now and I was looking for a place we could always stay when we visit; this isn't it. Unless there is a serious updating (which is something I could deal with if it were clean) and a MAJOR DEEP CLEAN, I highly suggest looking elsewhere for a place to stay. One saving grace for our trip was the breakfast and super friendly staff who worked in that area. They made our trip better just by being so pleasant when clearly working in an unpleasant environment.

This place was ok when we stayed the first time in September. I’m not sure if we got lucky then, or the last time at the end of October was just that bad but either way, we will never stay there again. Our room was filthy. The AC was broken and it smelled like mold. When the maintenance guy came to “fix it” the unit poured water onto the floor. The guy closed up the vent and said it should cool down in a few minutes. He never even cleaned the water off the floor 😳. I had to open the window what little ways it would open to “cool it down” because my kids had fallen asleep and I didn’t want to wake them to move them for one night. Not to mention the stuffed animal that we found in the pull out couch with “clean sheets” that obviously hadn’t been checked or removed from the last guest . The Flores were so gross and sticky feeling… I had to wear socks. We literally went down there to go to the zoo and back home but It was a big waste of money to book that place. We will not go back

We used to stay here a lot when our son was young and we would go to the zoo. Great location. That was 15 years ago and when we checked in yesterday, nothing changed. Rooms and furniture are very old and dated. So only thing changed is the price went up and now they charge for parking. Not sure what they use the parking fees for but it's not for on-site security. Our car was one of three that were broken into in their parking lot. Windows busted out. Was told by the employees there is nothing they can do because a sign in the parking lot says "management not responsible ". Obviously this is a security issue and needs to be taken seriously. I would not recommend staying here for numerous reasons but security would be top concern.

I just traveled to Columbia with my coworkers for a 2 day conference and I must say, what you see online versus what you get in person is polar opposite. I can confirm all these less than stellar reviews. We had 4 suites and there were things wrong with EVERY single one! This could be an amazing place to stay if management would take the time and spend the money to bring it up to date. The location is wonderful in proximity to lots of things to do and eat, but you are absolutely not getting wht you pay for in it's current state. Also, due to the pandemic, they had begun not doin daily housekeeping, as most people are used to, I don't care about making the bed, but i don't reuse washcloths. It was a hassle to go to the desk for more. The staff could use some continuing education on customer service. I am always kind to people , until i have a reason to not be, but when you work with the public in this setting, the goal is to leave them feeling good and often they will forget about the knobs missing of lamps with busted lamp shades, the air conditioning that wouldn't get cool enough, the weird stains and runs in the carpet, the terrible lighting in the crusty bathroom, the worn out sofa cushions and torn fabric on the arm chairs. I coud go on, but you get the point. It is beyond the point of renting rooms until you renovate or you need to charge no more than $100 a night. I have stayed in much more economical places and enjoyed my stay much more. I have also stayed in other Embassy Suites and yours is not up to par!

Staff was polite, but absolutely no customer service. Rooms old and outdated. Had to take my own luggage to the room. Had to go to the front desk to get new towels as they only clean rooms every 4th day or when you leave. Had to ask 24 hours at least in advance for any service. You do get free breakfast but the food is not good. They want a premium for their rooms, but offer no customer service.
