We stopped at the Information Stop at the South Carolina Border and asked for B&Bs. She happily showed us a list in the state and then pointed out the ones on our route. As soon as we saw the photo of Columns, we had her call for availability. There was and we booked a room. Not only was it an...

This was an elegant property easily accessible off I-95. Michael, the owner host was charming and made our stay most enjoyable; from the welcome bottle of wine served on the upper verandah on our arrival to the scrumptious hot breakfast ( Julia Childs style), next morning - we were treated royally. This circa 1903 property has been lovingly restored and...

We loved staying here. The home with large columns is very impressive from the road. It is also beautifully appointed and lovely inside. The innkeeper is friendly and welcoming. He delivered a chilled bottle of wine and two glasses for "happy hour." The breakfast was good. We loved our stay and would return. There were other guests staying there when...

The Columns is so peaceful, relaxing, beautiful, and clean. Breakfast is amazing. Wine on the porch is so nice. We always feel so spoiled here. Our host, Michael is such a pleasure to chat with--so kind and knowledgeable. My husband and I look forward to staying here on our way to an annual trip. This is a good halfway point...

We discovered The Columns in the spring of 2016 on our way to Montreal from Florida. The Columns is like walking into a dream. The magestic looking Inn is surrounded by magnolia trees all in bloom in the spring. As you enter, you feel the magic of elegance. Micheal greets you with warmth making you feel like royalty. The Inn...

We ended up staying at The Columns during Hurricane Matthew. Host Michael had guests who couldn't fly in, and we had a reservation elsewhere that overbooked. What an amazing house and a very gracious host. We spent 3 days, 2 without power? Despite the lack of power Michael always had a beautiful breakfast to serve, First night there Michael surprised...

Beautifully restored mansion with hundreds of antiques. Each room is full of period furniture, paintings, clocks, vases, etc. Our room was spotless and very comfortable. Michael, our host, was so nice and we enjoyed listening to his stories. Breakfasts were exceptional. Not only were they delicious but the platings were like a work of art! A very enjoyable experience. We...

Our four day visit was spent at this showcase. It was like travelling back in time. Decorated in an eclectic style, it was like being in a museum. Wandering through the parlors and sitting room was like being transported. I could picture the elegance of the past. Michael, the innkeeper was charming and informative. Knowledgeable about the house, the pieces...
