I was traveling alone for a last-minute business trip and between locating a flight and rental car I neglected to book a hotel. After my flight landed I drove in to the night calling every hotel I could think of in Florence, SC and EVERYONE was booked. Since i was travelling alone i became increasingly worried that I would be... More

My husband and I traveled to Florence during the recent hurricane. David and Ella and their helper, Beth, could not have been more accommodating during this very stressful time. I called Ella at 7:15 a.m. frantic because we needed to find a place to stay (we were at the beach and had to evacuate). She was WONDERFUL! She told me... More

We were fortunate enough to stay with Ella and David on a recent visit to Florence. The location, right near downtown, but on a quiet street, was prefect for us. Our room was comfortable, the welcome warm, the breakfast delicious!! I know other folks have mentioned the slow cooked grits and baked bacon, but both are good enough to warrant... More

A delightful overnight stay in Florence. The hosts, Ella and David made us welcome, we felt like family. A nice bonus: them sitting with us at our delicious breakfast of slow cooked grits, eggs and baked bacon. Enjoyed reminiscing with them. Beth, another employee, was a sweetheart. A quaint B&B in a small town, pretty neighborhood. A nice start to... More

If you want a wonderful historical, warm, friendly and relaxing true southern experience and you don't want to stay in a chain hotel right off I-95, this B & B is for you! Ella and David are wonderful hosts and the breakfast is awesome. Just 10-15 minutes off the interstate.
