Not fully renovated. Make sure your room is in the newer part. They overbooked the hotel and our room was given away.. no more oceanfront rooms left and we were downgraded.. this shouldn't happen especially when we made the reservation in February and arrived early :( All of the workers at the hotel front desk, porters, waitresses etc. were friendly but it seemed like they were very short staffed. One of the restaurants was closed due to someone not showing up. The beach itself was very narrow and full of sticks. I was surprised to see that they set up the chairs and umbrellas right among the giant piles of sticks.. it wasn't a pleasant way to sit on the beach. I'm not sure if this happens all over Hilton Head or if it's just the northern part of the island but there are definitely nicer beaches in SC/NC. Overall the pool area was nice and very large, there were different areas and lots of places to sit.. parts were also under some repairs. I would make a small recommendation and suggest maybe playing some island/steel drum type music to make it feel like you are someplace tropical instead of the top 40 music which felt more like an episode of Jersey Shore. We stayed one night in a renovated room which was very clean and the beds were comfortable and the shower was a rainfall and nice as well... but we come to the beach to sit on the balcony and listen to the ocean and watch the waves and that wasn't possible. The manager in charge tried to remedy the situation but she wasn't very experienced and even though she tried to make up for it... her communication skills were lacking and it didn't appear as if she understood how to properly handle the situation. It wasn't the beach vacation I was looking forward to and the resort in general wasn't nice enough to make us want to stay so we left early.…

Just got back from a fantastic weekend at the Westin Hilton Head. The rooms have been newly remodeled and are very clean. Everyone that works on the property truly cares about the guests and we had a wonderful time getting to know some of the staff (names listed below, everyone was a rockstar!). They really made our experience one we won't forget. The hotel also offers a great variety of restaurants, drinks and food. We enjoyed breakfast on the property and I highly recommend the buffalo chicken wrap. Special thanks to the following staff, you were all so kind!! I came to Hilton Head for a girls trip with three friends and we stayed at the Westin. We will definitely be coming back next year!! The rooms are updated and clean and the staff really made our stay over the top. We rented a cabana at the pool and felt like queens!! Lester, Nate, Amy, Marco - everyone was so accommodating, helpful, and fun! The beach is beautiful, we rented bikes at the Tiki Hut to ride along the shore. The Westin offered yoga on the beach one morning that we enjoyed. There was truly everything we needed right on the property!

We loved the Westin Resort. At $400 a night we paid for a great stay. Hilton Head was an overcrowded traffic nightmare. I would rather stay in a condo on the gulf. Better beaches on Gulf. We enjoyed the pool. Food choices all very expensive. Service so-so. The valet staff excellent. Great place to feel pampered after you fight the traffic to get there.

Heavenly spa at the Westin is amazing. I highly recommend d a couples side by side. They worked out the kinks and stress melted away. They offer water champagne or mimosa after your service. The locker rooms had showers and toiletries as well as hair sryer

We had a rough day of traveling. Spent 2 1/2 hours waiting at Savannah airport for a rental (will never choose thrifty again), and we didn’t get to the hotel till about 10pm. I was worried that due to our late arrival we wouldn’t have a great room option. I had called in advance and spoke to someone about our trip and how we are celebrating having twins (we also have a one year old at home) and was hoping for a nice room choice. Once the clerk advised we were getting an upgrade, I was finally relieved and felt on vacation. To go up to our room and find a cute note and a dessert from Lindsay G, really touched us and let us know we were in good hands. To our surprise, she left us another note the following day. This trip meant a lot to us being that it’s likely our last vacation for a bit. We stayed at this hotel before so we knew it was comfortable. After this last trip, Lindsey made us feel so special and it truly touched us. Staying at a different hotel will not be an option. Westin Hilton head is our new favorite spot. It was the most relaxing vacation I think I’ve ever been on. Spent 3 days sitting by the pool all day eating and drinking, kid free and in great hands by the staff. We had the best stay here. We had come for our honeymoon and initially booked at a different hotel. Our reservation was cancelled last minute and we ended up rebooking at the Westin. Ida checked us in and was so kind. We told her about what happened and she upgraded our room and gave us complimentary appetizers. She truly made our weekend and we couldn’t be more grateful. The room was brand newly renovated and absolutely gorgeous with an ocean view. I couldn’t recommend this place more!

Shanav checked us in and out and he was wonderful! He was able to get a great room upgrade for us along with being polite and excellent customer service. The Bell captains that handled our luggage was excellent. The restaurant to my surprise the Carolina Room was good with food and atmosphere. We had the best experience staying at The Westin! We stayed for a golf tournament and we truly felt like we had the most pampered weekend! From the moment we arrived we were treated so kindly. At check-in we were greeted by Clive who was so kind and patient with us. He even gave us free drink and appetizer voucher cards to use during our stay! Our room was incredible and so comfortable. The beds 10/10 an the views were even better. The bathroom truly felt like a spa experience and we loved the upgraded amenities. We booked a massage while staying and we absolutely loved our experience at The Heavenly Spa. Clive arranged champagne and chocolate covered strawberries to be delivered to our room for our last night. So touching and made our experience that much more.
