This is your standard Courtyard, although new, it was based on the same format. Hilton Head is a resort island and accommodation prices reflect that, including this hotel. Parking is free (a big plus for a HH hotel). The room was a standard Courtyard layout. Our upgraded room with a balcony, but was silly because the balcony had no furniture and no “view” of anything but a parking lot with 2 restaurants. Save your money on that one. We loved the rooftop bar - great breeze, nice seating options and a very nice bar menu with excellent pricing. No blaring music and no loud or obnoxious patrons. We had nachos (enough for 2) and they were not skimpy. House wine is $7 - again, fairly priced. Now the Courtyard Bistro. There is a reason no one was there for breakfast. We ordered 2 coffees (one small, one medium) and 2 bagels. $19.88. It was a do-it-yourself order like McDonalds, but no trays. The cashier mentioned that we could add a gratuity. For what? We know that Courtyards adhere to the corporate Marriott plan and Starbucks is their monopoly coffee, but these prices are ridiculous. What would a family of 4 eat for under $50? While we were there, there was only 1 other guest. And it’s obvious as to why. How a hotel could operate a great rooftop bar and fail so miserably downstairs is beyond our mental capacity. In conclusion, stay there for 1/2 the price of an oceanfront resort hotel and park free. Go upstairs in the evening and avoid the Bistro at all costs (literally!)…

This was our 2nd stay at this hotel. It’s in a great location - you’re able to walk to the beach and restaurants. I wouldn’t stay here for vacation though. For that I would choose a beachfront resort. But if your on HHI for other reasons, this is fine. I was disappointed by two things. We stayed 4 nights and were told that our room would be serviced every other day. It wasn’t ever and I had to ask for fresh towels, etc. Also, they have a very nice rooftop bar but it wasn’t open in spite of great weather.

Pros- location is great! Close to restaurants and easy 5 minute walk to beach. Comfortable modern rooms. Fire pits on rooftop bar with cabanas. Staff were friendly and professional. Neutral - Pool was unheated, but still found it refreshing to a point. Plenty of places to hang out. Cons - There were some things that went wrong but were fixed eventually - both elevators down for a time, no pool towels, we had to get our key cards rekeyed multiple times., espresso machine broken at coffee bar for purchases (not sure if that was fixed during our stay). You must have working key cards to access the elevator, great for security, but annoying if your key cards have to be rekeyed at least twice a day. I really did not like that coffee and water were not offered in the lobby complimentary to guests. A cup of coffee cost 4.50, plus tip was asked for it. I have never been to a hotel without complimentary coffee, even motels commonly have this. Cost per night was high for what you received. …

Great hotel with amazing heated pool and lazy river for kids. Hot tub and fire pits on beautiful grounds. Walking path goes right to The Island, felt safe walking at night as path was well lit. Room was clean and ample for family of 5. I love the fruit water in the lobby as well.

Room and hotel was clean but the restaurant was nothing very special poor choice of food on the menu and at stupid prices there must have been an event on in the area and the out side door was locked had to wait for security to open the do to let me in .

It is located in the Coligny Beach area of Hilton Head Island. About a 5 minute walk to the beach. Countless shops and restaurants just steps away. Golf courses are just a short drive away. Tons of free on-site parking. The hotel has a restaurant in the lobby for breakfast and supper, but we didn't use it - and seldom saw anyone else using it either. There is a rooftop bar open only at certain times and a pool a well. We used the on-site laundry, and it was in good shape. Our room was very large with a balcony but without outdoor furniture. It had a quiet air conditioner, a huge TV, fridge, and coffee maker. To warm up food, we had to use a microwave in the lobby.

In our 7 week vacation this hotel was absolutely the best stay! There is not one thing I can think of they would need to change. The room was exceptionally clean. The bed wa so comfortable & the linens felt crisp & new. The staff was friendly & so helpful. Parking was free.

It's a newer hotel. Lobby is spectacular. Rooms were clean. We obviously interrupted the front desk lady's facetime with someone, so she wasn't thrilled we were checking in. Pool on roof was cool, as we're the fire pits up there. Had to have maintenance twice fix the heat in our room, but they were friendly. I'd recommend and probably come back if I found a good deal... But I'd also look to see what else is around that's comparable.

Stayed here for a short trip to visit friends. Hotel was very clean and appears relatively new. Well located within walking distance from beach, shopping and dining. Very close to Coligny park, so probably crowded during the "high season" but not in January. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. They have a rooftop bar and pool. It was lovely with gas fired heaters but still a little chilly on a windy evening. Great stay.

Great location! Walking distance to the beach, shopping, children’s museum and multiple dining locations. Lobby (smelled great), grounds well-maintained , and the the room was clean. Small balcony was a pleasant surprise. Definitely could tell it was off season but that didn’t affect our stay. Rooftop bar was open but too cold to enjoy. Overall the stay would have been great, however on our last full day, we went out to grab coffee and returned to the overwhelming odor of marijuana in our room. Went to open the balcony door and the odor was even stronger. We got dressed and hoped it was a one off but of course it wasn’t. Returned to our room after a full day out and the odor was even stronger. Not how we wanted to end our last evening in town. At checkout this morning (9:10), a young female with long wavy hair did not greet me, did not ask how our stay was and when I asked if security was onsite, her only response was, “No.” No further effort was made by her to ask why I was asking about security or to use that as an opportunity to ask about our stay. She only asked how I wanted the receipt. No…thanks for staying with us….come again. She either isn’t properly trained, just don’t give a flying flip or all of the above. I would have recommended this location if it wasn’t for the unwanted, unpleasant and persistent odor of marijuana as well as the lack of concern to show any interest in our stay or ensuring we remained loyal Marriott Bonvoy clients by the young lady at checkout. This will definitely have us choosing a more high end property for our future stays on HHI. …
