I have to admit that I stayed there, back in 2012. But I have never had people make a wonderful visit after a HORRIBLE experience, with Marriot. I was stranded without a place to stay, after driving all the way from Detriot, in a blizzard. I got to HH. thinking I had accommodations for a week. Marriot messed things up...

We enjoyed our stay here. The weather was perfect. Loved how close we were to the beach. Our room was small but it worked for us. We enjoyed being close to restaurants and shops. Pool was very nice and we enjoyed our time. Will return again when we are in the area.

Our family has stayed at South Beach Inn at least half dozen times, and we enjoy every stay. The Inn is actually a number of condos of varying size above the shops at South Beach Marina Village. Each condo is similarly decorated in a true nautical theme, with hardwood floors and navy, red and yellow paint and accents. All have...

We've stayed here many times and have never had a bad experience. The property is quaint, clean, comfy and quirky. There are several room layouts and you can usually specify how much room you need and what kind of view and get just what you need. Each suite (that we have stayed in) had a scaled down kitchen and all...

Beautiful amenities right on the beach with umbrellas, lifeguard, restrooms, changing rooms, great food in or outdoors and great bar areas overlooking the beach. Just a great place for everything on the beach. Our favorite restaurant is the Atlantic Room with excellent food and Mike provided the best service. The restaurant, Coast, had a beautiful room with sliding doors that...

The rooms here are a little small, but that's to be expected with the inn so integrated with the marina. The location is tough to beat, and there's always something to do. Some rooms face or have windows on high-traffic (foot traffic) areas, which can be both good and bad. If you want more peace and quiet, ask for a...

Perfect place to bring the family. Easy access to beaches, kayaks, sail boats and the sea. Being on top of the Salty Dog Shops and next to their restaurants. Love the safe bike routes round the area. Never used or car during the visit, cycled everywhere. Tami the Property Manager is excellent.

The Inn is a throwback to a fishing village. The rooms are located above shops and all you need to do is walk down the steps for dining and shopping. There are three restaurants, a general store, and gift shops aplenty. The suites are clean and well appointed. There is free wifi, but no cable.

I hadn't been to Hilton Head before so didn't really understand the setup. This hotel is attached to the hugely popular "Salty Dog" complex. That means a ton of people are directly outside the rooms hanging out, waiting for their tables etc until fairly late in the evening. You might ask for an upstairs or back room to avoid being...
