My friends, and I stayed here recently and the room itself was just fine. However, our free breakfast was not, and by the time we got there the food was completely picked over. They finally brought out more food and it was cold or half frozen. Also the HVAC in our room didn’t work and they told us there was nothing they could do. (what?). They also do not have enough parking for cars, so I had to park a long way away. :(. Lastly there was man in the lobby and he was trying to sell us a timeshare the whole weekend. it was very annoying experience, and I will not be going bank to this hotel!

Hotel's Favourite
First I will begin with the good points. Very nice receptionist the night we checked in. Didn't catch her name but she has blonde hair and loves north on the island. Very helpful and very personable. Also Coligny beach is just across the highway from the hotel and is very convenient for a beach lover. Now for the bad. We had a dead bug outside our room door the entire time we were there. On Wednesday and Thursday mornings someone apparently headed to the ice machine to probably load up a large cooler with ice for the day. I am a light sleeper and our room was near vending so we could hear them begin just after 6 a.m. each morning. I understand several places have not gone back to hot ideas due to staff storages and the pandemic so grab and go items were available in the breakfast area. However, when we arrived in there our second morning, several items needed to be restocked. No coffee was made and no attendant was in the food area or at the front desk. It is terrible when one of the guests finds the coffee supplies and ends up making a pot of coffee so people can have it for breakfast. Also another couple told me they had someone in a room next to them smoking marjuana and the smell was getting into their room. This is suppose to be a 100% smoke free location. Thankfully, I had hotel rewards points and didn't have to pay for the rooms. I am not sure if we will be back to the area again also.

I checked in late Wed night and did not need housekeeping services on Thur. On Fri, I requested housekeeping and to ensure the sheets were changed I pulled them and piled them into the middle of the bed. Upon my return around 430-445 pm, I noticed the same sheets had been reapplied to the bed without being changed. DISGUSTING!!!!! Not to mention, they left the trash by the door and only emptied the hotel can. I went to the front desk and spoke with the manager Karina. She advised for stay over guests, housekeeping is suppose to empty the trash and change the top/fitted sheets. I told her this was not done. She apologized and asked another employee to change the bedding.

Incredible staff. Went above the norm. Room was spotless ( I use a black light). Check in lady was extremely helpful and kind. Arrived late my first night from a Savannah concert and had to park in the street. Front desk Shelly called to let me know I was in a tow lane and had been tagged for such. Of course moved the vehicle and went to thank her. She apologized for calling me so early. What, it was my fault. Saved me a Uber and a tow fee. Good breakfast, kind staff, across from the ocean with public access seconds away. Let me check in early , making me feel right at home. We'll be back. Super value! Sloan

Our room was large, meticulously clean, and very comfortable. This hotel was also very well maintained (beyond cleanliness) and was physically up-to-date. The hotel is smoke-free, which is excellent as I am allergic to cigarette smoke. The price was an exceptional value for what we received. The hotel staff, however, were not present. It seemed that was only two of very few guests in the hotel, and yet the staff was not to be found anywhere. There was a sign left on the front desk for check out to call a personal cell phone to speak to the desk clerk. Also, given that the hotel was relatively empty, I was a little disappointed that we were given a room with a balcony on the same level as the roof with the air conditioning units for the hotel. I did request an accessible room, so perhaps this was the only such room available. I will give them the benefit of the doubt here. Also, the hotel touts free breakfast as if it were more than the continental breakfasts offered by any other Choice Hotel group hotels. It was not; in fact, it was not as nice as some of the more economical hotels in the Choice group. Personally, I rate this hotel 4/5 for service, cleanliness, friendliness, and value.

Katie greeted us cheerfully as we entered this inn and she was friendly and efficient in suggesting activities for us during our stay at Hilton Head. We’ve been to the island many times but she introduced us to a variety of delightful activities to fill our days that we never tried in previous trips. Her dinner suggestion was just perfect for us. She’s a real professional!

If you love paying for a room that you never stayed in, this is your place! Be aware when making reservations that they charge your card 3 days prior to check in, and 2 days prior to the cancellation deadline. I booked a room for 10/26 arrival and my reservation and their website stated that cancellation was free up to 10/25 at 4PM. I refuse to book a room without some kind of free cancellation policy so I always read very closely before booking. My husband and I got Covid so had to cancel our anniversary trip. I canceled the hotel on 10/24 at 5:14 PM and realized this hotel charged my card $100 anyway. The hotel manager clearly doesn't know the definition of "free cancellation". So, not only did we get sick and not get to go on our trip, this hotel decided to make it worse by stealing money from us. Choice Hotels hasn't been very helpful getting this taken care of so I've submitted a compliant with BBB, my credit card company, and considering other legal avenues given the number of reviews that state credit cards are being charged fraudulently. I would avoid this place if you can. Judging from alot of the reviews, this appears to be common practice.

First of all, Shelley, at the front desk was a real sweetheart. She let me check in early. She was very friendly and made my stay more pleasant. The room I had was two queens. I requested a high floor away from the elevators, and I got room 502, which is at the end of the hallway on the top Floor It was fantastic no light was shining in from the window. It had a giant TV very comfy beds and I love the shower, it has no carpeting in the room which I really like at a hotel. Check-in is at 3 checkout is 11 but I think I checked in around 130. I would definitely stay here again it’s about a little over a half mile walk to the beach bathrooms and then you have to walk a little ways more to the beach It gets very crowded at the beach around noon until five.

The photos on the website are not even slightly met in reality and are actually fraudulent! Hotels.com too, should actually male sure, that what they offer through their website matches standards in reality. We checked out right after check in, because if the state of that property and have never done anything like this before, ever. - check in was done by some kind of Janitor in BEST WESTERN Shirt/Uniform, NO hotel personnel available/on site at 0900 pm - whole property is filthy, dirty and completely run down (see photos) - Dirt as far as the eye can see - elevator with visible shafts wher one can see the building substance - walls/wall colour coming off the walls in hallways and room - what you see on the web is definitely NOT what you get. See photos attached to this report.

I rarely give a 5, but I loved this hotel. We traveled several places the week of our anniversary and this stay was my favorite. My room was large and clean. No issues at all. The shower was a good size, the bed incredibly comfortable, tons of room overall. They have maid service still which is HUGE for me. It’s the perk of staying at a hotel over an air b&b. The lobby was beautifully decorated. There’s beach access across the street. A fantastic breakfast is available every morning. We enjoyed things like waffles, pancakes, sausage, biscuits, gravy, eggs…there was also an assortment of pastries and breads, cereal, juice, cereal bars, fruit… a great way to start the day. Every staff member we encountered was friendly. The ONLY downside was that the pool closes at dusk. If you plan on relaxing out there after shopping/golf or anything else Hilton Head has to offer, you’re going to be disappointed. Other than that, it was a fantastic stay and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.
