At the end of the myrtle beach busy season, I was expecting some issues, but there were none. Very clean, well kept. Good breakfast. No maid service for multiple night stays is pretty normal at this point in time, so that was not unexpected -- easy to get extra towels, etc. Fast, password protected internet.
Stayed here for 4 days and enjoyed every one of them. We had a suite, and it was clean and very spacious with the bonus of a walk-in shower. The floors were laminate so no more carpet which makes a big difference. The beds were good quality and we got 4 nights good sleep. Close to a range of eateries and shops plus the beach but far enough away from the hustle and bustle of Myrtle Beach itself. Overall, this is a great place to stay.
worse hotel I have ever tried to sleep in. need to have larger, more comfortable beds. better service for the guests. we had to go to the desk to get clean towels twice. no room Service. breakfast did not start till 7:00 a.m.
When we arrived we were told that there would be no housekeeping during our stay. We would have to go to the front desk for towels or other items. This would have been good to know when booking. The hotel was dirty with common trash cans not empty. The room was on the 5th floor but was damp with a musty smell. Front desk gentleman on Tuesday night July 21 and the lady on the front desk the morning we checked out on July 23 were very personable and helpful. I wish I could say that for the rest of the front desk staff we encountered.
Stayed for 2 nights at this hotel because I had a great experience at its sister in Augusta for the 3 nights before (mid -June 2022). The hotel looks good on the surface, BUT - we were given room 220. The odor was horrible entering and later found it to be applied pesticide (see 1st photo). It was hot because the curtains covered the air conditioner vent, so all the air went between the window and the curtain! There was a heat wave, but this room was especially hot. In fact, all rooms from 211 to 220 were very hot. The cause was likely due to an overly hot electric room (was not like that on all the other floors) that they propped open with fans running across from 220 (see 2nd photo). They also closed the door between room 211 and the lower room numbers to keep the heat confined to the nine rooms (see 3rd photo). The shower only had hot water, so they moved us to the 3rd floor on the second night. There were still issues with the long curtains, but without the added heat from the hallway, it was a bit more doable. There was no food prep for breakfast, so you made your own via a microwave to heat a breakfast sandwich or a waffle iron to make waffles. We saw staff make guests wait while they helped themselves to the breakfast. The pool was closed off (via tie wraps) all of Monday, June 13th and maybe more, but I am not sure. There are two ice machines, one on the 3rd floor and another on the 5th. The 3rd floor was out of order and no one bothered to mop up the water that was spilling out over the bucket put underneath the machine to catch the very same water. I am not sure, how a business that mostly thrives during the summer season can be off to such a bad start. We found the staff not particularly friendly and when we checked out a day early, no one even asked why. I will never recommend this hotel to ANYONE.…
We stayed at this hotel during a weekend family trip to Myrtle Beach. It was really expensive the weekend we visited, and I didn't feel quite like I got my money's worth. The hotel was very clean and our room was clean, but the floors seemed sticky. It was in a nice location and I felt safe. There was no maid service, no one even came to get the garbage. The cans were overflowing when we left. We didn't have enough towels so I had to go downstairs to get a set. They never came to replenish the towels the second day. I never saw any maid service or carts the entire time we were there. The pool was small and didn't look that clean so we decided not to go. The two bed rooms are double beds, not queen beds, so they are small, so not ideal for more than two people really. The beds hurt my back. Breakfast starts at 7am. I did not go down to breakfast but my husband said there wasn't a lot of options for protein and I don't like a lot of carbs for breakfast, so we went out for breakfast. I just didn't feel like it was worth the money we paid for a weekend trip, but I've been at worse hotels in the past so it was fine.…
This hotel has really gone downhill since my last visit. First of all the floors were filthy. You'll notice all the dirt sticking to your feet. When you step in the shower the shower floor will turn black. You'll have to rub the dirt all your feet before getting in bed. Pretty disgusting. You'll get a couple of "good" towels to start your stay. If you need more, the front desk will give you some extra towels that are so thin they actually hurt to use them. The beds gave us back aches. The breakfast consisted of waffles or a Jimmy Jones biscuit. Not anything like the picture on their website. If this is what Choice Hotels has become, I'll be staying at their competitors from now on.
Avoid the Quality Inn on U.S. 17 in North Myrtle Beach,SC. The rooms are filthy because there is no housekeeping service. Guests must go to the front desk to get towels and linens. The floors in the rooms are dirty, the deadbolt in my room was broken and one of the clerks was verbally abusive to me. No one offered another room to me. I had to go through my booking company and ask for it. The manager's name is Ken Patel, and he is nothing but a liar. He offered to comp me a night when he learned of the issues, but has now backtracked.
Exactly what you would expect from a Quality Suites. Nothing fancy ,nothing spectacular , but clean , decent amenities and a good sized room. Great TV selection , solid WIFI and it's not the hotel's fault that a proper breakfast cannot be served at this time. Location is great , it's right on RT 17 and there are dozens of restaurants within a 1-10 minute walk ( there are sidewalks ).
My room was quite spacious with a bed area, a small dining table with two chairs, a desk, mini kitchen with sink, microwave, and mini refrigerator. The bathroom was a little tight with limited and smaller towels. Bed was comfortable which is important and heating system also kept me comfortable throughout the nite. The minor issues were as follows: the curtains are directly on the heating vent and as a result are constantly blowing outward. The curtains in this room (515) also have visible mold on them which is disgusting. The water pressure in bathroom is very low in sink but shower head was very strong and enjoyable. The sheets had an unpleasant odor which I'm guessing is from a cheap cleaning detergent. The morning breakfast was far below standard with terrible tasting orange juice and prepackaged danish which were not up to par. Would I stay here again if I was looking for a one night accommodation for cheap - possibly.…
