We booked a room to attend a wedding in Clemson and the reception this this B&B. This review focuses on the room. Our room lacked climate controls, there was no hot water and yes it was equipped with a rope escape ladder. The walls were paper thin allowing one to hear everything about your neighbors adventures. The staff was as...

Wedding Rehearsal Dinners usually favor restaurants or hotels as settings. Magnolia Manor provided a perfect site that combined fine food, excellent service, and a beautiful setting. The three seat swing hanging from a beautiful shade tree that attracted the attention of the bridesmaids. As the evening cooled down outdoor gas heating towers enabled the various conversations to last under the...

Having never been to the area, my wife and I wanted to explore western South Carolina. Rather than stay in a standard hotel room we opted for a B&B. The Magnolia Manor looked interesting … a late 1800’s home tucked away in a small southern town. We stayed for 5 nights and were not disappointed. JoAnn was an attentive hostess....

Magnolia Manor is a lovely place nestled in a small southern town. It's grounds are beautiful. After staying there one night I must agree with the other reviewers. The owners were nice and the accommodations were adequate. I, too, was expecting more of a southern hospitality experience. Bed and "Breakfast" to me is not cold rolls, yogurt, and grits from...

My husband and I attended a an evening dinner event at Magnolia Manor and decided to stay overnight. Joanne is a lovely hostess and made us feel very welcome and comfortable. Our room was old fashioned and lovely, and clean. It was fun to take a step back in time and enjoy the furnishings and ambiance. The breakfast was an...

The main room downstairs is very pretty and the grounds are very nice. Great place for a wedding. I was in one of the rooms on an upper floor and it was quite cold. Didn't have an extra blanket and I looked for one. Wish I would have had a fireplace. Towels were thin and the soap was tiny, tiny....

We stayed here because my sister was getting maried here. It was a beautiful site for a wedding, but as a B&B I was really disappointed. We travel a lot, and I've never stayed at a B&B that didn't offer a home-cooked hot breakfast. We traveled with our two joys and had to pay for two rooms. We shared a...

Beautiful location for a B&B. Not far from Clemson University, Lake Keowee, and Lake Hartwell. Would work well for business or pleasure. Rooms are large and clean. Parking can be tricky even though the town is similar to Mayberry USA. I had a beautiful room but was hoping for a warmer evening. I hoped the fireplace worked but alas it...

We came to Magnolia Manor for a weekend getaway and were very satisfied. The old house and grounds are beautiful and our room was charming. We enjoyed the fireplace, small jacuzzi, and king canopy bed! Our hosts were the best part - they had a lot going on this weekend, but were very accommodating and friendly - made us feel...

The house and grounds were very nice. There was a mixup and we were not given the room that we reserved. We wanted a private getaway - but were given the room right by the dining area. And, the breakfast was most disappointing. :-( Other B&Bs we've stayed at had nice fresh cooked breakfasts. Here there was only bagels, muffins,...
