The exterior of the home and the rear gardens are a little worn, but the interior of the home is awesome. The furnishings, the decor, the beautiful hardwood floors are all very impressive. We had a beautiful large bedroom and an excellent sleep. The proprietor was very engaging and prepared a wonderful breakfast.

Susan greeted us and was flexible about what time we arrived. She gave us a recommendation for a restaurant for dinner. Since it was a Sunday evening some places were closed (like all the shops on the main street). We stayed in the Blue Jay room, which is large and has a queen bed and is decorated beautifully. There were...

I love big old houses and this lovely manor fits the bill! Weather-beaten on the exterior just enough to give it charm and beautifully maintained on the interior. Susan, the owner/innkeeper was pleasant in every respect from our first phone conversation to our cheerful goodbye's. The rooms are very clean, quite large and beautifully decorated. We only stayed one night...

We spent one night here and I wish it had been the whole weekend! I found it through Trip Advisor because there is very little choice in the area in terms of lodging. I sent an email and Susan emailed me back promptly with details. Prices were very reasonable and we were going to be in the area for the...

With few exceptions I find chain hotels boring. The architecture and room are predictable , the in-room ventilation system is noisy, the complimentary breakfast lame. My experience at Songbird Manor stood in sharp contrast to that. While the exterior wood portion of the 1919 brick home is in need of paint, the interior is exquisitely maintained and beautifully but not...

What a rare find ! On a stopover from Cleveland to Orlando we wanted to stay somewhere other than the conventional hotel chain. Susan the innkeeper was terrific . Easy to find off of I77. Directions are spot on on the webpage. We had the place to ourselves , the rooms are immaculate the breakfast was absolutely delicious in the...

A grand old house built in 1925. We stopped here on the way to North Carolina to ride dirt bikes. It's beautiful inside. Susan did a nice job on the pancakes one morning and the waffles the next day. She works at the Chamber so any advice you need on the area is available. We had access to a coffee...

We stayed here several days and it was a real find! Beautiful rooms and Susan, the owner, was very accommodating. We went with another couple and there was a sitting area between our rooms upstairs where we spent evenings together before retiring. There was a coffee maker, fridge, etc. available upstairs and we each had our own bathroom. Very nice...

We only stayed one night and it was in the middle of the week. So we were the only ones there. We were there doing research on our family history. Our host was very helpful in giving us information on a place we could go and get help. It turned out to be a wonderful help. The home is very...

Very relaxing. Susan made our stay so enjoyable. She either stayed up and waited for us or left the lights on for us. Breakfast was wonderful! The home is 101 yrs old and the inside is beautiful. The furniture, window treatments take your breath away. We at first wondered how two ladies like us would be able to handle the...
