We had such a nice time at Prairie House Manor. There are comfortable common areas and every room has a private bath. There is plenty of Laura-related reading material and extremely friendly hosts. They are kid-friendly and it was such a nice environment for my seven-year-old. They have games and toys in the front porch area, but it isn't cluttered....

We could not have been more pleased with our stay here. We came at the last minute and could not have been more welcomed. The rooms were comfortable and clean, the breakfast was fabulous, and Andy and Jenny (the innkeepers) were excellent hosts.

If you are looking for a clean, comfortable, gracious and homey B&B experience, choose this place. Owners Andy and Jenny are wonderful, the rooms are lovely with comfortable beds and the breakfast is really delicious. I stayed here with my 81 year old mom, in two sweet rooms, Bird Song and Here's My Heart. It was my mom's first B&B...

Our family of 6 stayed two nights in the My Rose Garden room. The room was very clean and charming. The whole house was very warm and we were also able to enjoy their large screened in porch. The house is Banker Ruth's old home and is located two doors down from Pa & Ma's house in town!! The hosts...

This fantastic B&B is housed in Banker Ruth's old home. The décor is beautiful and cheery, the rooms are comfortable, and the breakfast was excellent (have the French toast with cheesecake filling -- excellent!). Andy is a gracious host, although we did not have an opportunity to meet his wife. If you are in De Smet, you can't go wrong...

This comfortable traditional B&B is run by lovely hosts, Andy and Jenny, who clearly love the Laura Ingalls Wilder stories. Our room in the historic building was neat and clean and full of Jane Austin and Laura Ingalls Wilder books to borrow during our visit. The hosts offer delicious full cooked breakfasts and lots of information about visiting the area....

My friend and I stayed in 'My Rose Garden' a delightful 'suite' that contains a king sized bed, a full sized (Murphy) Bed and a twin sized day bed. The room was spacious, (very) well decorated and comfortable. The house is a perfectly maintained, very clean and very comfortable turn of the century charmer. Jenny and Andy, the inn keepers,...

We felt like we were coming home again when we arrived in De Smet on our second visit. We once again stayed in the Prairie House Manor. Andy and Jenny were just as welcoming as last time. We chose Birdsong as our room again - twin beds and a very large bathroom. Everything was clean, comfortable and well maintained. Thank...

Pretty basic B&B i De Smet but not a lot of options. House was clean and quiet and bedroom was small but comfortable. Bathroom was very small with a basic gate as the door--my wife did not like it. Living room and porch were nice. Breakfast was good--fruit cup, coffee, and basic omelet (little dry, veggies too finely diced). Overall...
