There isn't enough space on here for me to write this review, the staff, the concierge staff, the restaurants, the theater, the in room dining all terrific. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL TO ANYONE GOING TO SOUTH DAKOTA. It should be rated a 5 star in many ways.

You'll need help from bell desk to go through the casino to the front desk unless you know the place. Good room, indoor pool and located not very far from downtown. Reasonable rate. Public parking is right across.

This hotel is a good place to stay if you are visiting Deadwood. It has a unique location and building with great views of the town and surrounding area. The casino is located on the lowest level, therefore it is fairly separate from the rest of the hotel. It did not cause any inconvenience for the stay. The room was...

Upon arrival, we were greeted by the doorman, that talked with my wife while I parked. Then we maneuvered through the casino, which is not well marked to the elevators to the hotel. The front staff was very professional. Our room was gorgeous, but it was near the elevator, good and bad, it was convenient but noisy every time the...

It has been a couple years since we have gone to the Grand because of various reasons. Recently we have been stopping by more often after taking a friend from out of town up there one Saturday nite. We tried all kinds of food off the bar menu and it was fabulous, like it used to be a couple years...

This hotel is a perfect location only a short walk to get on tour for Boot Hill or down to Main Street. Parking was free, but the hotel does have a resort fee which I knew about so expected. Casino in hotel if you are looking to gamble. They did have a room in lobby for kids to watch movies...

This is a relative new Holiday Inn being only 3 yrs old so it should be in great condition and it was. Developed on the site of the old Homestead Slime Gold Mill, it has a commanding view of Deadwood, especially if your room is on the front. If on the back you look at the hill. Accommodations were great...

The accommodations were a pleasant surprise. The room decor was extremely lovely offering both comfort and luxury at an affordable price. Noticeably different from other hotels was the low noise level - nothing was heard from surrounding rooms or the hallway. The hotel dining room, which we attended twice, was exceptional for the service, food, and ambiance. Our stay was...

This place is awesome. We actually didn't go anywhere else there was so much to do here. Had one of the best filets ever there. All staff is friendly and accommodating. Very clean. Worth the money. Champagne waiting in room was nice touch. Would strongly recommend and come again. Husband even won some at slots

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The only place in Deadwood to rock out and rest up -- Deadwood Mountain Grand, A Holiday Inn Resort -- is one of the area’s newest and most unique hotel properties, a resort experience that is sure to leave you longing for a return trip long after you return home. At the Deadwood Mountain Grand Hotel, Casino and Event Center, perched on a hill overlooking historic Deadwood and featuring GRAND views, the 98-room luxury hotel is a wonderful addition to the recently refurbished adjoining Homestake Mine Slime Plant, one of Deadwood’s most unique historic landmarks, now home to Deadwood’s only large-scale event center and casino. Combined, the three (hotel, event center and casino) provide a resort mix unparalleled by any other. Our three executive king rooms, along with our five king suites deliver the most breath taking views in town. Seven of these eight well-appointed rooms feature spectacular views from their private balconies, including that of Mount Moriah Cemetery (the final resting place of Wild Bill Hickok, Calamity Jane and other legends of the Wild West) and Historic Deadwood. Relax and enjoy lounging by the grand stone fireplace over two stories tall under vaulted ceilings or cozy up by the side seating fireplace both making our rustic interior. ... more   less
