The place is clean, good value for the area and season. We got a family room with 2 queen beds and a twin. The room had a mini-fridge and microwave, handy for family with kids. It's right across the street from an adorable mini-golf (9 beautifully done holes) and kids playground, along with an old fashioned ice cream stand, which...

We stayed here for two nights whilst visiting the Blackhills area. The location was very convenient and it was easy to drive into Hill City for some good restaurants. The room was compact, but there were seats for both of us, unlike some places where we have stayed. However, the bathroom was about as small as it could possibly be...

Thank you for your review of our property. We are a small family owned business and our goal is to provide a clean, economical, friendly lodging stay while you tour the Black Hills. All of our rooms have different layouts as well as in the bathrooms, and as such, the layouts are difficult to adjust. We work hard to ensure...

A great combination of rustic with some modern conveniences. The cabin was nicely furnished with kitchen utensils, towels, etc. Grill and kitchen allowed us to eat in a few nights during our trip. Staff was fantastic. Offered all kinds of advice and suggestions of attractions, restaurants, directions, etc. when asked. Location seemed perfect, centrally located for all the major attractions,...

Our family of 5 stayed in one of the duplex cabins for four nights. It was very nice and comfortable. Less than 20 mins to Mt. Rushmore and about 30 mins to Rapid City. Pool is very small but enough for the kids to enjoy every day. Friendly staff and cabins sit back s bit from main road.

We stayed here in June of 2016. The location (quiet, with view of the hills) is perfect to visit Custer State Park, Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse Memorial, etc, just 3 miles outside of Hill City. We stayed (two adults) in a single cabin-like room with a queen size bed, as we asked to keep the budget in check at the...

I stayed in a double room with a futon. We were traveling with two adults and 3 children (ages 8, 13, 14). The room was clean with plenty of space and the bathrooms were good size. The location is great for visits to Custer State Park, Mt. Rushmore and many of the popular attractions in the area. This was my...

Conveniently located near Mount Rushmore Mountain View Lodge made a great inexpensive option for a two night stay in mid May, 2016. I wasn't looking for a resort, just a clean room for some photography excursions in the Black Hills. The Lodge met my expectations in that regard. I booked one of the double rooms for the trip and didn't...

Staff was wonderful very friendly as well. Would recommend this Lodge to everyone! It was close to everything that we wanted to see and do in South Dakota! Love...

This is a fairly average hotel overall. The location is good, just a few miles outside of Hill City and near several major highways. The owner was friendly. Tongue and groove pine on the ceiling and walls gives it a cabin-like feel. Wi-Fi was good in our room, but we were very close to the office. The heater/AC unit was...

I rented the Top/Bottom Cabin at Mountain View Lodges for a 4 day vacation. I went with my parents and roommate. It was perfect for us. The top level of the cabin held a bedroom, bathroom, pullout futon, loft with queen mattress, and kitchenette (with coffee maker and microwave included, they also provided coffee, filters, and dishes). While the lower...
