The Alpine Inn and restaurant is an excellent place to eat a good steak! Your evening choice is a small filet mignon or a large filet mignon with toast and a house salad. The day time menu has additional sandwiches, pastas, and desserts. One issue is that the restaurant does not take credit cards, so bring cash or checks to...

Just being herded into the lounge waiting for the doors to open at 5:00 was hysterical. My sister-in-law knew the ropes and got us up front. Dinner is two choices - 6 oz filet or 9 oz fillet - price was amazing!!! Want to pick your salad dressing? Too bad!!! It's their homemade ranch (which was amazing!!!). Want tomatoes on...

Since this historic inn only has 4 rooms to rent you want to make reservations well in advance! Being from Germany I appreciated all the "little" things call amenities in our room #12. The staff is super nice and the owner Monika runs a tight ship. But if you can't spend the night in this beautiful hotel you do want...

Absolutely the best Fillet Mignone we have ever had. Also tried the german dumplings. They were also very good. Prices were unbelievably cheap for the quality of food. Yes there is usually a wait, so put your name in then go walk n shop n come back. We could wat here everyday! Sevice was great as well

4.5 is my score for Alpine Inn. VERY friendly staff. Love the shower. Only complaint we would have is that the air conditions didn't cool off room 12 as well as we would like. Loved how they treated you as a guest. They even let us get our dinner "to go" so we could eat out on the porch and...

Convenient Center of town location. Over a great restaurant and Bar. Yet perfect for a couples getaway! We had one of the smaller rooms. But it had a good fridge, and a large shower with quality necessities. You had to walk up stairs to get there and they don't take credit cards. Close to all attractions very central. Easy parking.

Excellent stop after moniing of sightseeing. Hubby delighted in a humongous bourbon and Bleu cheese burger with FRESH horseradish and German Potato Salad. He was out of his mind with taste pleasure. I had a most generous fruit plate and wrapped some to go in the car. Alpine is in am old hotel furnished to period so it offers plenty...

We headed to Hill City with the intention of finding a room and spending the night. We decided to ask about the rooms at the Alpine Inn when we got to town. The hostess in restaurant invited to check out the 3 that were not reserved. We chose #9 and were very happy that we did! Our room had a...

We stopped in here for a late lunch, after climbing Harney Peak, and I was starving. They sat us for lunch even though they were just closing (before they reopen for supper). The restaurant is in a lovely historic home with a old world charm. I ventured out of my comfort zone and ordered entirely off the German menu and...

I agree with the reviews talking about how neat the rooms are. Charming, romantic, Victorian are all words that come to mind. We could peek into each of the rooms. There are 4 - #3, #6, #9 & #12. The first three had queen bed with a sitting area. We had room #3. There is a private bath across the...
