We arrived wondering what type of accommodations we were going to find as this was a hunting trip last fall. We were very surprised as the rooms were very clean and comfortable. There breakfast was simple but a good selection They do cater to the hunters during the season. Looking forward to returning!!!

We had to exit the highway as it was closed due to whiteout conditions in a snow storm. With 3 dogs I was worried about finding a hotel that would allow it but they had no issues with 3 dogs. Beautiful hotel. We were on the ground floor in a handicap accessible room so there was plenty of room for...

We stayed at Range Country a few days before Christmas just for one night. We found the property to be very inviting, friendly staff and comfortable. We could instantly smell the fresh pine Christmas tree that was decorated beautifully in the lobby. The pool was small, but since there were no other kids staying on the property, my kids had...

Stayed for one night during sub-zero December temps. The hotel was warm, rooms were clean, and the staff was helpful and friendly. Enjoyed the complimentary breakfast as well. Good home cooking nearby at the Buffalo restaurant & bar within walking distance. Good overall value!

There is not much to Murdo, but the Range Country is the place to stay. Very clean, great staff, and fascinating display of historical photos. Plus, its fog friendly. A note on dogs: they (quite reasonably IMHO) want the dogs to stay off the furniture. They suggest a travel kennel, but we carry dog beds and motel viewed these as...

We pulled in here at eleven pm after slow, stressful driving in a South Dakota blizzard for ten hours. We checked another hotel in town and it was full, the very nice lady who answered the phone made me feel good about this place before we arrived. The service did not stop there, it was among the best I have ever...

Quick overnight stay while heading home from Yellowstone/Black Hills vacation. Will definitely seek this place out next time heading through. Exceptionally helpful staff. They made us feel at home. Good breakfast - made more fun because it's served from a Chuckwagon built into the lobby wall. Clean and pleasant room. (Nothing fancy, but just felt nice.) Had microwave and fridge....

A buddy & I stayed here for a week of pheasant hunting. The place has excellent amenities.. We had two labs in the room for that time with no problems. They also have a discreetly located, covered bird cleaning station. The breakfast was good but could use some daily variation. The best part was the staff is great! They helped...

We used to stay here (20 years ago) when we were moving across the country. Very pleased it's still just as good (little bit better) ...now have modest, but good breakfast. Rooms were VERY clean, and beds comfortable. This is small town, with limited hotel accommodations, but this little gem is the best choice by far. Ample parking. We didn't...
