Although this is off season this is still a nice park. Now the end of October the pool and out buildings are closed but still offers full hookups for RVs at a great price. They do have cottages for rent also at very reasonable prices. There are 50-60 wild turkeys roaming the grounds and there are deers are rabbits also...

We stopped here for an overnight stay in July 2016. It was a Sunday night, I believe, there were not a lot of campers there. We got to pick our spot. We have a Class A 40 ft towing a car. I believe the cost was $36, which was for full hookup. We stayed in the main loop near the...

Back 40 acres camping area is the ONLY place to stay for peace and quiet (avoid the 6 weeks around Sturgis Bike Rally -- Jul 15 though Aug 10) 1 mile E of I90 at Piedmont exit. The main camp area is close, and ordinary with pool; the back 40 (you need to get directions from resort) has great stargazing,...

Our RV camping experience at Elk Creek was very good. We booked one night and stayed a week! The location is near everything we wanted to see plus it is off of the highway - a real plus. It was our second week in the area and a lot of the parks are located right on or near a major...

This is a good campground for the Rally at Sturgis. It's close to the rally but not so close that it's noisy at night. It's close to the highway to go to the Badlands, Rapid City or to Devil's Tower in Wyoming. Book early if you're going to the rally.

My friends and I reserved 3 drive through campsites for the Sturgis rally. Upon arrival we were told we would have to double up on 2 campsites with 2 other campers. Then the manager came out and told us a "Man with lots of money" wanted our campsite. We told the manager to take a hike, we were not moving....

Service at this camp ground has been going down hill for the past several years. One of the toilets in the men's expanded toilet area has been loose from the floor for at least 3 years and still was this year.We have camped here for over 10 years during the Sturgi's Rally, our group has grown from 4 couples to...

The worst customer service "Betty" I have ever experienced. My mother died the day we were to leave for our stay here. We found a couple to take our place, however Elk Creek refused to offer refund! Betty continually states via phone "No Refund". When I ask to speak to owner-manager, Betty states: No Refund! When I offer to send...

Loved our stay here. Beautiful view every morning, peaceful every evening. We appreciated that they don't allow loud partying. Our cabin was just what we wanted. Breakfast was the only meal we ate there but the cooked to order eggs were a nice touch.

Yes it is rustic. The sites are close together... However what I like the most is that this park wasn't trying to bankrupt their patrons during the Sturgis Rally. We weren't there for the rally, just dumb luck that our trip was at the same time. This park charged us $44 for full hook up. Very reasonable. Another park close...
