This inn has the most spectacular views. Our hosts were simply the best. Melanie prepared my husband and I a beautiful fish dinner. It was delicious. Quiet conversations in the common area were had in the evening. A great nights sleep in the beautiful spacious bedroom. Enjoyed a lovely breakfast in the morning. We will definitely be back!
Fantastic place to stay. Truly unique and memorable, cannot wait to return. Food was fabulous, wonderful company -both people and pets. The location and views are stunning. A well needed peaceful retreat. Only wish we could have stayed longer!
Bottom line, absolutely wonderful hospitality from Mel and Dave, even during a category 4 hurricane! First, this bed and breakfast is situated nearby the red cliffs of PEI, and we were stunned by the beauty visible from our room. Even walking to the front door, beautiful island vistas greeted us. Second, after a VERY long day of travel or adventure, family-style house-made dinners are ready for us every evening, which rivaled any restaurant in town. What a splendid way to end a day! After a restful night listening to the waves crashing against the cliffs, all of the guests could come downstairs to enjoy coffee together and a delicious breakfast (again, family-style, loved it!) to energize you to enjoy the Island! On our second day, Hurricane Fiona hit the Island, with 90mph winds where this inn was located. The building withstood firmly and our hosts, Mel and Dave, made the house a warm and comforting reprieve, even when eating family-style by candlelight! We could not have chosen better and recommend anyone visiting PEI to stay at Johnson Shore Inn.…
This was a lovely Inn in a very beautiful location at the ocean! The Inn keepers Melanie and Dave were great. Breakfasts were great and Melanie provided picnic lunches on request. The rooms were well maintained and offered beautiful views of the ocean.
The Johnson Shore Inn is a wonderful place to kick back, enjoy spectacular views and enjoy an immaculately clean facility. Whoops, I almost forgot the food. My wife never eats desert , but never missed a chance for desert here. Breakfast and dinner were excellent and the hosts made us feel very welcome. It is very close to the Confederation bike path and we were here to cycle. I can not recommend this Inn highly enough.
What an incredible experience! We stayed 3 nights with our wonderful hosts Dave & Mel. Johnson Shore is in a stunningly beautiful & tranquil location and was cozy, clean and very comfortable. The stay includes a fantastic homemade breakfast of every choice you can imagine. I highly recommend staying for dinner as well. Mel is an amazing chef and I think Dave is pretty good too! Truly a 5-star experience. I will most definitely be back. I think this would make an amazing experience for a family or friends get-together.
Unfortunately we were only there for one night but it was a lovely stay. Mell is a real card!! Met and chatted with some other guest during pre-dinner drinks and breakfast. Food was delicious, room 12 was very comfy with a beautiful view. Before we left for the ferry, we had a lovely walk with Jonesy. Thank you so much Mell and Dave for our wonderful stay.
Amazing setting, great hospitality, very clean, great resident dog. Dinner provided for $$; breakfast may be complimentary. Ample wine. Food is excellent, not skimpy. Driveway ~1.2 km long and unpaved. Would stay there again. Good for R&R, peace and quiet.
Beautiful spot right on the cliffs overlooking the ocean. Small number of rooms, extremely welcoming hosts that rubbed off on the guests. We ate both nights at the inn Mel is a great chef and Dave is equally wonderful with breakfast. A very calming get-away-from everything, but a great base for rage eastern shore of PEI.
What a beautiful experience we had at Johnson Shore Inn, one of the highlights of our 2 week trip. Beautiful, dreamy stunning location. Amazing view from our bedroom window. Delicious dinner and breakfast prepared by Mellanie. We would definitely stay again, probably not in the summer as there were a lot of black flies/mosquitos and we couldn’t enjoy the outdoors as much as we wanted.
