We stayed one night in the Victorian train car room on January 25, 2014. The room which is a converted train car is dingy and the carpet has actually worn through in places. Although heated the bathroom floor is tiled and was very cold. The toilet and bathtub are very small and hobbit like, overall this space needs to be...

We stayed at this hotel this past weekend for a cheer competition. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, every single employee that we came in contact with was amazing. This includes maintenance (our door wouldn't latch properly and they were at our room in minutes), the housekeeping staff (super friendly, great English), the security officers (they...

Stunning and impressive entranceway and main lobby. Staying here is sort of a right of passage if you plan to visit Chatanooga frequently for business or in general. Staff upon check in is very knowlegeable regarding hotel history as well as surrounding area and anxious to share. Very easy to find from anywhere downtown or off Hwy because of the...

The wife and I stayed here to attend a concert at the Track 29 club. Our room was in building 3 which was a pretty far walk to the lobby but there were courtesy carts available if you didn't want to walk. The room was very clean and well maintained. Everyone we came across was extremely friendly and legitimately concerned...

What a wonderful place to stay. My husband and I have stayed in the past. This time our kids and grandchildren stayed. Everything for them was great. The santa packages are a hit. The train car was very clean and warm, all the activities were age related, the elf stories were unforgetable.. We will be back for this package again....

We stayed in one of the Victorian train cars and had a wonderful stay. Our boys were 3 and 5 yrs old and huge train fans, and loved it. The room on the other half of our train car did not have a "no smoking" sign like all the other rooms, and someone started smoking in there, with the smoke...

I am glad to hear that your children enjoyed the train car room. We work hard to make trains the central theme of our hotel. I am sorry about the smoking situation. The entire complex is SMOKE FREE. If a guest smokes in a room we add an addition charge of to detail the room. Thank you for your compliments....

Having heard of the Chattanooga Choo Choo from the Glen Miller song, I did not seek this place out particularly. In fact, I thought it might be a theme park. However, I was charmed by the place and its history. We stayed in one of the Victorian rail carriage bedrooms which was fun for a short stay not for a...

My husband and I spent New Year's Eve at the Chattanooga Choo Choo and loved it. We had a standard room in Building 3 and although it is a little ways from the main entrance, we were transported by golf cart to where we needed to go on the property. I was only able to reserve a double room, but...

We enjoyed our stay at the Chattanooga Choo Choo and plan to return. The hotel is obviously older but the room was very clean. Housekeeping does a great job and the little extras provided a more lavish feel to the room. Everyone we encountered was friendly and helpful. I can't wait to go back and hopefully take my grandson!

I've been coming here 1-2x a year for about 7 years now-always in winter. This year I finally attended a convention there in summertime and I was STOKED to finally use that pool that had been vexing me.

All day long it was full of feral children and at night, when the con activities slowed the pool gates were locked. (9pm!) that was the only time I saw any security off their golf cart-to lock us out of the pool! Earlier in the day, we noticed a car POURING GAS from it tank in the parking lot. We flagged the centaurs (security/golf cart hybrids) and one said point blank that he didn't care because it "wasn't his car". I called the front desk 2x about it. No one really seemed to care.

I am SORELY disappointed, Choo Choo.

Also the renovations are terrible, did you have to tear out the station house and sandwich shop at the same time? The gardens breakfast we used to look forward to was awful, and the short male waiter was TERRIBLE. Overheard him telling a table of three ladies that unless they gave him another dollar he would have to pay a dollar to take care of them (not sure what he meant, but they coughed up an extra dollar, which he pocketed and left them without saying ty) ladies told us they'd never be back. When we paid him, he didn't even offer to bring our change, just took our cash and left.

He should be fired.

We had silver car pizza 1x and it was burnt. We called out to papa johns and then city cafe after that.

We have always stayed here at the choo choo, and looked forward to it, but after this past weekend at the con, we're considering branching out and trying another hotel nearby...
