We stayed at this hotel due to its proximity to the Tivoli Theater where we were attending a Home Free Vocal Band Concert. The hotel was clean, had valet parking available 24/7, and the staff were friendly and very helpful. There is an electric shuttle that is free to carry you to the Chattanooga Choo Choo, the Aquarium, and the...

The real plus of this place is the hotel itself, it is a beautiful peace of architecture! Valet Service was cheap and fast. Staff very helpful! We do recommend the place, perfect!!! Oh and there is a Starbucks in the building ;)

My husband and I stayed here a couple of nights for our anniversary and enjoyed it very much. It is very convenient to everything downtown and walking around the city is enjoyable. We had a suite, which was roomy, but nothing elaborately decorated or furnished. We would definitely stay here again.

Let me first off say this hotel is very nice. It is an older historic place and very convenient to most everything we needed.. We never used the car the whole time we were there. We walked everywhere. I will say the price was a little too steep for what you were given. The rooms were nice, but like I...

We came to this hotel with the family and occupied 2 rooms for 6 nights. One room was so small that there was even no space for the suitcase. The hotel itself is in very bad conditions and needs urgently a renovation. Beside this, it is not managed and maintained at all. Examples: 1) Rooms and common spaces are not...

For what they charge, the hotel should be a lot better. We got a coupon at the Tennessee welcome center, or we would not have stayed here. It is old, run down and smelly, with really scary front desk help and service. Untrained people at check in and service personnel are obviously untrained. It is more the hotel's fault more...

We were in Chattanooga for a long weekend and stayed at the Read House. The location worked out for us in several ways. It's within walking distance of many restaurants and the electric bus. The free bus will get you to many more locations. The hotel is in need of renovation. That seems to be just beginning. Parking is only...

I booked late, so I was going to pay $200 a night for a double queen room. When we arrived, the room wasn't ready so we received a discount. Still, the room should have looked like a $200 a night property; it did not. The sink leaked and the shower drain came out of the tub...not the plug, the whole...

This is an old property built in the 1800's...it's not the latest Marriott or brand name hotel but it doesn't pretend to be...it hosted Al Capone and Winston Churchill!! It's a beautiful historic hotel in the heart of Chattanooga & convenient for walking. It must have been all the rage back in it's heyday & it still has some flair...

Older hotel with beautiful lobby and helpful employees. When it advertises " historic", that means clean old. Great valet service. Nice up scale shops and eatery- dinner can be slow and pricey. Our room was uniquely L shaped, our friends had a huge open room. But they were comfortable. Very convenient location.
