The hotel itself is beautiful! The lobby is stunning, along with the Silver Ballroom in which we were able to attend a symphony. The room, two double beds, standard needed updates. The carpet seemed dingy and the fixtures/furniture needs replacing. The indoor heated was delightful, although the children ruined the atmosphere and it was late in the evening when we...

Location excellent - we could walk to lots of restaurants, aquarium and river, or use free shuttle bus. Staff friendly and helpful. We used valet parking ($15 per day). Room very spacious, but lighting a bit dim. Large comfy bed. Fabulous foyer, with grand piano. Disappointed in breakfast, and only one other couple there. Waiter service and not much choice...

The Read House is absolutely beautiful, with interesting history. Built in the 1920's, boiler hot water system does take a little longer to reach you, but that's part of the history!! Location is convenient, bed and pillows were comfy, room was clean, staff friendly and helpful,

Stayed over for the week. The hotel is in a brilliant location. Close to pubs and restaurants. The hotel has its own restaurant .. Porters ... bit steeply priced. Rooms are large and beds are comfortable .... the only thing ... the hot water takes time .. but then again, it's an old building. Would I stay there again .......

Quick service for lunch... The lunch menu is pretty limited, but the choices are tasty. The wait staff is attentive and accommodating. I'll say this, I've only been once and it was for lunch...I'll be going again to try something from their dinner menu. Thanks for reading my review.

If you're looking for a real throw back experience to a 1920's feel, the READ HOUSE is the place to be. Our room (715) was absolutely lovely. Comfortable king bed, nicely appointed separate living space with 3 different window views of quiet Downtown Chattanooga. The aspect that really puts this above the rest is the over the top guest service....

We stayed in this quaint boutique hotel recently on our drive to Florida. We hadn't originally planned on visiting but I had read about the hotel's history and thought that it deserved a look. We were not disappointed, even though we got off to a slight inconvenience. The Front Desk staff were very welcoming and check in was done quickly....

We loved our stay for Valentine's Day! Great rate, location, and dinner at the restaurant in the hotel. The hotel is beautiful and such a historic place with character. Our suite was perfect for my husband and myself to just relax for a night.

This hotel was booked through Hotwire's secret hotelso we didn't know where we would be staying until we booked. The lobby is historic and loved the wood work and detailing. The room we received was dated and could use some updating. The chair and carpet were stained. There was not hot water in the sink and when we took a...

This is an beautiful old historic hotel in downtown Chattanooga. It is being prepared for major renovation, but that took nothing away from some incredible persons who served the GATEway Optimist International Club Conference. You hate to name but a few, but these are the ones that I got a name. Bo, was beyond belief in helping in every way....
