Loved our stay at the Read House. Everything about the hotel was perfect. We especially love our Valet Roy and his team. Every time we called down for our car it was ready by the time we rode down from the 3rd floor. Never a wait. Only problem with the hotel was the insanely restricted water flow. It took 15...

first, let me say the lobby is beautiful. It is worth the walk to the hotel to see what it once ways. That's pretty much where the charm ends. The room itself was large (we ended up with a room with two double beds which is much larger than a single.) the wallpaper is old and worn in the bathrooms....

I have visited the Read House many times over the last twenty times for business and pleasure. I was very disappointed during my last visit. The lobby and Mezzanine levels are grand and still have an amazing historic feel. The room was a disappointment. It looked worn. The couch looked like something you would find at a second-hand, discount store....

I booked a room at The Read House months in advance of my April visit to Chattanooga. After a long day of travel we were looking forward to a good nights sleep, however that was not possible due to loud banging and booming noises coming from somewhere near us in the building. There was also an issue with the beds....

This was a beautiful hotel in Downtown Chattanooga. While the experience was above average it did have some issues. One of my disappointed co-workers said that he did not have any hot water for a shower one morning. Another reported that the Valet Parking wasn't (or inadequately) staffed and after waiting more than 15 minutes resorted to street parking. On...

From the moment we were greated by the untidy receptionist (no name badge) who was covering her mouth with her baggy cardigan sleeve as she had a mouthful of food, I was 'not impressed'. Although we we arrived 15mins earlier than the check in time of 3pm ,neither of our rooms were ready and the polite maids finally made our...

This is an old style gem right in the middle of downtown Chatty. Great service, spacious room, and even a view of the mountain from our room. We stayed one night, and will definitely stay again. Room decor was slightly dated, but bed very comfy with great soft/cool sheets. Valet service was worth the extra. I called for my car,...

We visited the areas House this weekend to go to the aquarium it was a wonderful place to stay that was with walking distance to everything we wanted to do downtown. We really enjoyed our stay. Also, the Valet service was very organized and prompt, especially Taylor Davis. We would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the Chattanooga area.

Most nice 100 year old hotel with beautiful inviting lobby. Centrally located, easy to get in and out by car. Plumbing and air can be a little loud and quirky. Bed was comfortable, room was quite. Overall a nice stay.

We saw this online and I thought it would be fun for the kids to see a piece of history. The check in process was very easy. The staff was exceptional. Super friendly, very helpful. The lobby was absolutely beautiful. We got a paper upon check in with directions how to get hot water going since the hotel was still...
