I attended the Gee Creek Dual Sport Expedition at the Gee Creek Campground last weekend. It was an excellent experience. The Park Ranger, Angelo Giansante, organized the event. Camping in the park is nice as the park is located beside the Hiawassee River. Motorcycle rides for different abilities were organized with leaders on Saturday. I rode over 150 miles mostly...

We've camped here 3 times before but its been a while since the last time. Their policy of bringing no firewood in from home is understandable and they have some for sale there, but we typically camp on the weekends and the office was closed Sat & Sun, so we couldn't buy firewood or the ice they had for sale....

Have been going to this campground on and off for 15 years. It's been a few years since the last visit and we were looking forward to returning. We tent camp. Happy to have the on-line reservations, worked great. The campground sites are very nice. It appears that each site has been cleared out well. The updated playground for the kids...

I was surprised at the traffic going in and out of this campground, and the speed that people drive through it is ridiculous! There is no electricity so you might want to bring a generator. They asked that you use it sparingly but there were several that used it all the time so apparently it is not enforced. Bathrooms are...

We have camped several times at Gee Creek with cub scouts and boy scouts. The campground has a trail around it, which the boys love to explore. There is a hiking trail nearby. The overflow area is nice for large groups.

The campground is very convenient to both the Ocoee and Hiwassee Rivers. It offers the basic campground amenities such as a shower house and a water spigot for the group camping sites. Our Boy Scout Troop camped here this past weekend. We arrived after dark and the signage for the Group campsites is somewhere between bad and non-existent. We received...

We stayed right by the bath house and playground. I was Thinking that someone had a sense of humor because that would normally be a nightmare for me. But it quieted down really early. The bath house was really clean. I wish that they had electric but lots of campgrounds don't. The only negative for us was the raccoon that...

Hubby and I stayed 2 nights. Campgrounds are nice and clean. However there are more people just cruising thru than we would expect to see in the middle of a town, much less in a campground. Horrible. Probably 200 or more cars through in 2 days. Kids everywhere squeeling and dogs barking. If you are looking for peaceful camping better...

This was our first trip to Gee Creek. Very nice campground. Stayed on A16 for $16 and was pleasantly surprised with the size. Thought access to the river would be easy from our campsite but unless you can repel, no. If you want access to the river you'll have to use the boat ramp. The men's side of bathhouse was...

On of the most relaxing campgrounds in the are. The Rangers are helpful and there is lots to do off the beaten path you jus have to ask the rangers. Here is hiking biking climbing and whitewater just to name a few. Also drive up to Etowah and ride the train though the mountains.
