We had a horrible experience with our first hotel during our stay, walked out, and walked into this Courtyard. The desk clerk was not only pleasant, but immediately looked to see if we could use our AARP discount (and we could). The rooms are ultra modern, comfortable and large. Everything was clean and upon departure, we were happily allowed to fill our coffee thermos (as breakfast was limited with Covid complications). We intend to drive this route again, and will definitely stay again!
The stay was marred by a terrible misunderstanding. I asked reception for the checkout time. Of course hotels will give an extra hour if needed. It was needed. I asked for a late checkout before the time she gave me earlier. Answer was “No. Checkout was an hour ago!” We literally left the room half-dressed.
We have stayed at 3 hotels over this vacation week and many over the past few years and this one is the best out of all .. Rooms were clean and well stocked with bathroom linens, pillows and mattress were comfy and the staff was very pleasant.. My Family and I will definitely be staying at this hotel on our way through next time..
The pool worked. The laundry worked. The room was clean. The bed was soft. The linens smelled clean. The room smelled clean. It was quiet. We did not do the breakfast, we were in a hurry. I would stay here again!
After checking in to my room, spraying with Lysol, wiping down with Clorox wipe, I made a simple request for additional bed sheets. The Head of Housekeeping (Melanie) decided to interrogate down ask why I needed the sheets. At that time I let her know if the hotel was not able to accommodate the request that would be ok. I have small children and these sheets would be for them inside the room. For example, covering the chairs that they may sit in, covering the floor that they may crawl on. This head of housekeeping stated “ I can get you some stained sheets.” At this time I asked her to explain why she would offer a guest stained sheets? She continued to make a non plausible explanation. I let her know this was unacceptable and that I would be speaking with the manager and corporate office. She walked away nonchalantly and said “ok”. Once I spoke to the on duty manager about the incident, I was met with indifference as the the housekeeper had already given her side of the story. The manager did have this head of housekeeping apologize once prompted. They both decided that she had misspoke in saying she could give me some stained sheets. In summary, customer service needs work. When I asked the manager (Martha Camargo)for the corporate office information she stated that “ you can find it online”. This is a “dog friendly “ hotel. Likely needs more training in the hospitality arena. We also heard footsteps, large barking dogs all night long. Shower curtain dirty, beer bottle top on the window ledge showing the lack of thoroughness.…
