Truly disappointing My wife and I stayed here in July 2021. The room was so-so clean. Pillows on the beds were just mush. Breakfast was a waffle maker. This didn't stop the hotel from charging us like it was a 5 star resort. I suggest that you look for other options in Jackson, TN.
I travel a lot for work and found this hotel to be clean and ideally located in Jackson. It’s next to Walmart, which I found to be very convenient. Staff was friendly. They had a partial hot breakfast which was good for me.
My family and I stayed one night. We got in and checked in around 8 pm. Upon walking into the room I noticed how hot and humid the room was. I found the thermostat to be set to cool and temperature was set at 77 degrees. The temperature in the room was 78 degrees. Called the front desk and they told me to turn on the unit and wait 30 minutes. As I previously just said the AC unit was turned on and set and 77. I preceded to turn it down to 75. The unit would kick on and barely had any cold air coming out. I gave it 30 min. In that 30 min span, the unit would kick on for 1 minute every 10 minutes then shut off. The temp in the room never moved down from 78. It was me and my two small children, ages 2 and 1. As i sat in the chair, sweat was pouring off of me and my two children were very hot. I preceded to call around to other hotels but that weekend every hotel was booked solid. I called back to front desk after giving it 30 min and they said they would give me a full refund. At this time it was 8:30 pm and there was no were else for me to go. I needed to be there for a Saturday event. I had traveled in from 2 hours away. My two kids were tired so I told the person at the front desk that we had no other options but to stay could we just receive a refund in the morning. They said i would need to talk to the manager Saturday morning. Saturday morning came after not sleeping but 2 hours because of being so hot in the room, the temperature was finally down to 75 but it was still very humid and had a very strong mildew smell. We checked out early so we could get some relief. When i was checking out at the front desk I asked to talk to the manager, whos name was Damien, and she said he was not in yet. I told her to have him call me. We left and i finally called back at 4 pm after not getting a call from Mr. Damien, and the front desk person said he had been there in a meeting for 3 hours but had already left. I thought that was very careless of him to do. They said he would be back Monday morning. Monday morning i called and talked to Mr. Damien who preceded to tell me they checked the room Friday after cleaning it and it was 70 degrees in there and they checked the room after we left on Saturday morning and it was 70 degrees in there. I told him that was a blatant lie. When we walked in the thermostat was set at 77 degrees and when we left i left the thermostat on 75. He proceeded to tell me that it was 70 degrees both days they went into the room. He offered a 25 percent discount and told me repeatedly that they offered to refund us Friday night. I said i had no where to go for all hotel rooms were booked up and it was a 2 hour drive home. Plus i needed to be there for Saturday. I declined the 25 percent discount and felt it was a slap in the face to offer me that after the huge lie he just told me about the temperature. I would never stay here again if my life depended on it. I hope who ever reads this stays far away from this hotel. I am totally disgusted by the way Mr. Damien handled the situation. I could not believe he was lying to me about what supposedly the temperature was before we got there and when we left. Also the breakfast was terrible. To call it a breakfast was laughable. There was hardly anything to eat. Options were waffles, cereal, and bagels. What a joke.…
My husband and I stay in the Country Inn & Suites on our way home from Gatlinburg. We paid over $180 for a room that looks like it was never used. Furniture was missing, no clock in the room, no blow dryer, etc. we felt like they rented this room out by mistake. Is this a room the employees use? There was only a half roll of toilet paper in the room and no toilet paper holder. It had a funny odor and it was also a little dirty. I never write reviews but you can do better Country Inn!
Stayed for 6 nights and had a wonderful stay, clean room, bathrooms, lovely outdoor sitting and flowers blooming at the entrance gave me an instant happy feeling ;over all a well kept hotel . Take away breakfast worked for me as i could snack till lunch on them. Alex at the guest desk was very helpful. Housekeeping staff Paula was very humble.
