We rode into Charit Creek Lodge on our trail horses, arriving about an hour after supper was finished, wet and tired from a rainy ride and a long trip to the trailhead. Greg helped us get our horses put to bed - simple and safe stalls and corrals - and ran back to the lodge to get our dinners heated...

My wife, home from college daughter, and I greatly enjoyed our two night stay at the lodge in one of the field cabins. We hiked in the .8 mile trail. It is steep, with lots of switchbacks and even one ladder/staircase, but it is fine for those in modest shape. We hiked out the horse trail which is gravel and...

An amazing off the grid place to visit and stay! Hot shower after a long day of hiking and a wonderful meal! Also a comfy bunk to rest the hiking legs at night. This is a unique place! Enjoyed our stay and will be back for sure!

This was our second trip to Charit Creek Lodge in what will now be a yearly retreat with friends. We stayed on a cold weekday night in January so the four of us had the place to ourselves. Sitting by the fire by lantern light after a great meal watching the snow fall. Beautiful. Greg had our stoves going in...

My husband stayed two nights in the corn crib and had an absolute great time. Being unplugged and rustic was exactly what we were looking for and Charit Creek did not disappoint. Greg was a great host and the food was perfect. Gorgeous hiking and serenity. We will definitely be back.

Our family of three loved this lodge for a long weekend with the fall colors in Big South Fork. The hiking was beautiful, the corn crib was comfortable and the food was hearty! And it was such an easy trip to plan since we did not need to pack camping gear or plan backpacker meals. At the same time, it...

We stayed a single night in their comfortable tree tents. It's a Gorgeous short hike into the lodge area. Staff was courteous and knowledgable. The dinner was a delicious pork loin, veggie sides, toasty rolls, a scrumptious sweat potato casserole, and a melty cookie for dessert. We snagged a bundle of firewood and snore fixings for the campfire at our...

We spent 2 nights at Charit Creek Lodge with our grandkids, ages 6 and 13. Wonderful way to give kids an experience "off the grid." We hiked to Twin Arches and Jakes Place, hung out on the screened porch, enjoyed delicious meals. The staff make every effort to make our stay perfect.

I highly recommend staying at Charit Creek Lodge for anyone looking for some peace, relaxation, and great hiking. Gregg and the whole crew were great, very welcoming and friendly! The food was great, especially after a long day of hiking. We stayed in one of the detached cabins. The accommodations were pleasantly rustic. Eating by kerosene-lantern light and waking up...
