Wonderful food!! Amazing hosts. They are the hardest working people, and they truly care that you have a great experience. The cabins, bathrooms, dining rooms are super clean! It was beyond charming, and I will be returning. Thanks so much, Greg, Kenneth, and Kate!!!

Rode to Charit Creek from True West horse camp. Spent the night in cabin. Excellent food served for dinner and breakfast. Very nice stable for your horse. Worth the trip. Take your flashlight or headlamp though. Very friendly staff!!if your brave enough try one of their tree tents.

Excellent food, service, and clean rustic accommodations. Greg and his staff treated us great while we enjoyed God's Creation!!! Beautiful scenery and great hiking in the middle of Big South Fork National Park along with food you would expect from a 5 star hotel restaurant. No complaints, only thanks.

This lovely lodge is in the Big South Fork of the Cumberland River National river Recreation area. The lodge is only a short walk in from the trailhead, but provides a backcountry experience. The food was excellent, the accommodations were very good- we stayed in a cabin and the staff are very helpful and friendly. There is no electricity so...

Get unplugged, hike great trails & escape from city life & chaotic pace. Staff are absolutely fabulous - genuine, caring, enthusiastic about introducing you to, or continuing to foster your love of, the beautiful wilderness within the Big South Fork National Park. You have to hike down to the lodge (30-40 minutes?), which lies by Charit Creek. With the windows...

I tent camped here October 2016 and had a very good time. I'm sure the reviews cover the basics of what they do and do not offer here, so I shall not repeat them. I'd emphasize that the staff was the most welcoming, helpful, and positive people imaginable. Second to none, really. If staff attitude was the sole determinant of...

This was our third in the quest to visit all the hike in lodges in the country. We thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay at Charit Creek Lodge. We stayed in the corn crib and really enjoyed this rustic but clean, quiet and spacious cabin. The meals were outstanding and the staff helpful and attentive. The hiking trail to the...

I did not know what to expect for my first hike-in, no-electricity lodging experience. I could not have anticipated how perfect and wonderful everything would be. The facility is beautiful, historic, rustic, and completely comfortable. The staff members were all amazing, as was the family style food. My vegetarian needs were accommodated easily. This is the perfect place to go...

Charit Creek Lodge is a historical old hunting lodge with rustic appeal. My understanding is that the Lodge is open in the summer months and can be readied during off season if you call ahead. You can access the lodge by way of the Twin Arches Loop hike or a "long" dirt road. I have only hiked in and don't...

We LOVE this place! This is our 3rd time at the lodge. The staff are so friendly and helpful, the food is amazing and the setting and hiking is beautiful! In addition to the people who stay there... It is a stop for hikers and horseback riders... Fun to meet everyone coming through. Thanks to Greg, Kenneth and Kate for...
