We arrived at 4pm for check in, but had to wait half an hour in the lobby. Room wasn't ready. The hotel was fine- bed was comfortable, sheets were soft. Front desk staff was fine, not overly friendly. Lots of food options at this exit. The property is up and set back from the interstate, didn't hear road traffic. One big issue was the huge crater, hole in the pavement at the entrance to the hotel's parking lot. Huge and deep, needs a fix asap!
We booked our room 5 months in advance. We received a call the day we were to arrive that our credit card expired. We were 4 hours away and said all our wallets were packed in the back of the van. I said they would have to wait until we could find a rest area and stop. The manager was so rude with her approach and tone and said we had 1 hour to call back or our room would be released. With that attitude we stopped an hour later and called another hotel. We got a room with a view of the river a fireplace and a balcony. A blessing in disguise.
This is not our first time staying here. It has always been a clean and safe place to stay. Very friendly staff. It needs an upgrade and they are doing it now. Close to Pigeon Forge without the traffic. Breakfast was same as all HIE. They put out plenty for everyone.
Very clean and well- run Holiday Inn Express. It is located next to Bass Pro Shops and an excellent steakhouse ( Chop House). Restaurant reservations advised but not vital. Easy access from I40 and toward Smoky MT NP. Has guest laundry and pool. Would stay again.
We live close by but drove down to do some shopping for the day and stayed at the Holiday Inn for one night. It’s right in bass pro parking lot which the kids liked. Our room was very clean, kids enjoyed the pool, they have towels at the pool which we appreciated. Coffee is good, breakfast was good for a hotel breakfast. Everyone was friendly. Would stay again.
Well this motel is nice enough for just a night...located in the Bass Pro parking lot ..it is being remodeled ...the room was nice enough..comfortable bed...pillows were awful..loved the shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in the shower..very nice...walls must be paper thin because when we were trying to go to sleep the person in the room beside us snored SO LOUD we planned to call the front desk BUT neither phone in our room worked..breakfast was fine..we prefer bacon over sausage links but there were plenty of options and the coffee was good...Oh i really liked the Keurig in the room...checkout was a nightmare...need two people working the front
I rented a room in passing through the town and completely regret it. I ended up leaving the room and sleeping in the car. The main floor hallway and desk area is under construction (which was fine). The elevator is filthy, the bathroom smelled of urine, the carpet was gross and there were stains on the wall and headboard. The sofa couch had crumbs everywhere and no sheets were provided. The experience was terrible and I do not recommend.
First, the description says brand new. That it is not. It is currently under a remodel in the entryway. They still managed to keep an orderly check in process. It wasn’t bad at all. How else do you do a remodel when open? Pros: easy to get to from highway; nice little shopping area; room smelled clean and was clean on the surface; quiet on our end of the hall; friendly staff; close to Smokies Stadium which is what we wanted Cons: rooms need updating-office chair in our room had so much of the upholstery peeling off that it looked terrible, could hear the bed springs when you moved, carpet had stains all over which made it feel unclean. All in all, it wasn’t a terrible stay. I hope that the remodel continues to guest rooms. I would consider staying again.
Our room was comfortable enough. Firm beds. The room is short on wall plugs and the socket on the desk lamp was too loose to hold a plug. Wall unit A/C was loud. The bathroom counter, sink, shower, and even the door were covered in hair. Also, the shampoo and soap containers were completely empty. There were three of us but only two sets of towels. Worse Holiday Inn bathroom I have ever been in. As for their “clean” guarantee, it was 12:30 am and I figured the lone desk clerk could not leave their job for 20 minutes or so. I would definitely not stay here again.
For Holiday Inn Express, this is not a good one. During Covid when people aren't traveling so much and inventory goes unused, I'd think they'd pick the good rooms to give to people. If this was a good room they gave me, I'd hate to see what the bad rooms are like. This property needs some attention to detail. Pick another Holiday Inn Express in the area.
