I have been here five times with my elderly parents. Always brilliant! It's an occasion to go and I look forward to going back to Ireland just to visit here. I don't know the names of the people but I want to thank them. They look after you. I go for the daily special- always fantastic- really top quality food...

Nice pub near the Abbey ruins. Cheerful service in a quaint irish pub. Off the beaten path but full of typical Irish hospitality and friendly patrons. Comfortable atmosphere with genuine character. Stop in for a relaxing visit.

I believe we have experienced Irish cooking in it's heyday of the awful 80s. How hard is it to make edible spaghetti bolognese (with American style hamburger buns for "garlic bread")? Grilled chicken...shouldn't hurt going down your throat. Potato skins? A baked potato cut in the middle leaving two fat halves with ham and butter on top. The Guinness is...

Excellent, as ever - we had lovely, soft garlic bread to start, my mother had salmon, accompanied with a most decorative lemon, and I had the sirloin, which was delicious. Have to say, though, I rarely find chips in Ireland as good as those in English pubs - it is one of the things they do best. Desserts were good...

Absolutely loved TAT. First choice for family meals. Excellent choices in the 'before 1900 light menu.' Excellent Breakfast, only two choices, full or mini Irish Breakfast, but that is all you need. The customers and staff could not have been more welcoming to a bunch of Yanks.

We have never had a bad meal at the Abbey Tavern. The food has always been great with plenty of options, specials board and good kids menu. Staff are friendly, helpful and efficient. Four adults, 2 courses each, a glass of wine and soft drinks €70. Nice decor inside set in a beautiful village over looking the historic Quin Abbey.

We went to The Abbey Tavern for a night, as we went to the banquet in Knappogue Castle and everything went very well. Castle is about 5 min driving from the the B&B, it's a great spot to be. Room was spotless clean and huge compared to the usual standard of B&Bs. Mark and Sandra were very good and gave...
