Stayed here the night before starting a Mizen-Malin Head cycle. Breakfast is served a bit late, so I outlined to the receptionist I would miss it as was starting my cycle early. I had some food with me anyway so did not mind. A bit later a knock on our bedroom door and the receptionist had brought down cereal, bread,...

The most amazing place in the world. Although some years since i have been here (2002) not 2011 as the review says but I had to review this place. It has had a revamp. Not quite what you would expect for West Cork however this is an amazing family area where families keep returning year after year. beautiful beaches, friendly...

Have been to this restaurant a few times this summer and it's been fantastic each time! If you're lucky enough to be there on a sunny day they have a fabulous deck with some of the best views of the beach! Absolute heaven. I've had the BLT, steak sandwich, goats cheese salad and smoked chicken salad (on different visits of...

Called into the Barley Cove Beach Hotel for a bite of food last Saturday evening. It was nearly end of service, but the friendly guys (and girls) in the bar/restaurant kindly ordered my Sirloin steak for me. It arrived as I was finishing my pint (just in time for another), and I can only describe my meal as fantastic!! Perfectly...

I have been travelling to this resort for years and it remains a very special place for me and my family. Over the past years the hotel has taken many changes and the resort villas have been hugely upgraded. Unfortunately the hotel however lacks the service and quality to match all the upgrades. The potential here is huge, views are...

After such a wonderful visit the year before, we just had to come back with our 2 little boys to this child friendly hotel set above the most beautiful beach in Ireland. It's along drive from anywhere, but it's worth it for the laid back atmosphere and genuine Irish hospitality. We arrived to be told our room was not quite...

We had a lovely weeks holiday in the adjoining apartments of the hotel , it was our first family holiday with our 7 month old son and the staff were very accommodating. The apartment itself was very nice - plenty of room for the three of us and had all the amenities that you need with a young child such...

The hotel seems to be the only place around and in a most beautiful, nay..... stunning setting with so many options for walking , leisure and just taking it easy.Maybe also by being the only place around things are allowed to slide somewhat in terms of decoration, decor, furnishings and care/maintainance of the site ,both inside and out. On entering...
