Recently visited to the Highlands. I thought the refurbishment was very thoughtful and didn't take from its character. The service was excellent & The food was very good. Overall a very good experience on a miserable day.
Visited from NZ with a brother and friend. So very friendly, helpful and the food was amazing. The recently decorated room was fantastic and the staff were so very courteous. Would definitely stay again!
Just spent two days in the Highlands hotel, food was excellent and our room was spotless. All staff very friendly as indeed were staff in local shops. Siopa Lughnasa at the end of the town is well worth a visit.
"Definitely book a room off the street if you plan on staying over a weekend. Can get a bit loud late at night"
"Hotel has special disabled persons lift."
"we had a room facing the street but it was fine, others complained about the noise,it probably depends on how light a sleeper you are"
"There is no lift but steps were easy. We stayed in 35t. Hotel is on the main street in Glenties but we weren't bothered by any road noise."
"This is comfort over design in a fine traditional area of Ireland. Chill, turn green and enjoy!"
