Beautiful hotel in a beautiful part of the world, Malin, Donegal, Ireland. The hotel décor is outstanding, the restaurant fabulous and the staff wonderful. Would recommend anyone to try this wee spot out, you will not be disappointed.

We called in this afternoon about 14:00, never having visited before I scouted ahead, it looked very posh, in a nice way, spotless glassware on gleaming white tablecloths all laid out for the pm trade, intimate, cosy, but subtly lit, perfect for romantic couples on a Valentines outing. Anyway after near bailing , a lovely young woman asked what I...

We have just got home after a friends dads 60th birthday here and what a weekend it was. This hotel could not do enough for us from service to being polite. The food was amazing both dinner and breakfast. The bar staff where always ready to serve and where efficient in doing so! We will be back again soon 👌👏👏

Had an amazing lovely lavender latte thanks to the ever so friendly duty manager Ryan Farren, he is a credit to the hotel! Always a lovely buzz around this hotel, lovely Christmassy feel around the place!

I went to my niece's wedding party in the Malin Hotel on October 15th. Excellent service, great food and tasty breakfast. Good value also, €50 for a single room with double bed. l believe this is the most northerly hotel in Ireland, set right in the centre of Malin village. Staff friendly and courteous. My only complaint was the quality...

We arrived to a warm welcome. We had food in the bar that evening and it was excellent. Great variety of options. Breakfast the next morning was the full Irish and was delicious. Portions are not an issue. The food would get a five star rating. The rooms are quaint and a bit quirky. Some are better then others with...

I had a lovely stay for 4 days and 3 nights. It was comfortable enough except that the bathroom is quite tiny. The food and the restaurant was really good. Ate there twice! Breakfast is not bad, loved the irish breakfast! One of the breakfasts i had, the poached eggs wasn't done too well. So that can be improved!

We stayed one night after exploring malin head. Great family room with separate room for the children. .. much like a suite really. Clean comfortable bed. God food in the bar. Friendly service and a great breakfast. It won't suit those who hanker after the bland sameness of modern offerings with the enormous tv and no character.

Although a little pricier than pub food this was a lovely restaurant with good food. Very comfortable seating and dark intimate atmosphere. Our roast dinner meals came with plenty of meat and vegetables. We did have to ask for extra gravy but this was provided. the vegetarian meal, mushrooms, was also good and a generous portion.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Going through the door, you're greeted by the creme de la creme of local society. In the air, a distinct scent of haute cuisine and sensual traces of eau de cologne. Ah! C'est la vie in le Malin Hotel. Here we do things "la francaise" - food par excellence, rooms au courant. And a great pint, too! Boutique? We created the word! We're your little pied-de-terre and your "moulin rouge" in the midst of the beauty of Donegal. Boudoirs that'll knock your socks off, wine to blow your mind and scenery that'll make your eyes pop. Unique? You can say that again. ... more   less
